@bayimports They need middle forwards too so it makes sense.

Origin weekend is always good for some shadey results.
The Dolphins killed the Bunnies off
Cronulla officially knocked the Tigers out of premiership contention. If you need a statement win, apparently what you need to do is pick Nicho Hynes, lose, and then drop him/have him injured.
Gold Coast beat the Eels (who signed Ryles as their coach). DFi with a lazy 179m
The Broncos are cooked. The Dragons might actually play finals
Lol at Newcastle who got flogged by a DCE-less Manly.

The NRL ladder is a little more clear cut i think. Who ever loses on Friday between us and the Raiders can start making holiday plans for September . If, and it is a big if, Brisbane can get everyone on the park, they are the only ones outside the top 9 i can see getting a run at it, and that's just on the fact tehy actually have talent, and a positive for and against.

Still not seeing anything that says it won't be two of Penrith, Melbourne or the Roosters on GF day

Actually didn't think DFif was effective as he should be, still a decent coach would have him playing better than Capewell.
Manly like they have all year, can look like prem winners and losers in the same game, although this time, just like winners. Turbo creating havoc. If ever a team outside the top four could knock anyone over, it would be these guys.
Ryles free to leave Melbourne as of yesterday, if he moves early then I would hate to play Parramatta as well, as players start playing for contracts.

Not many easy games for anyone in the run home as the comp is so even, I think I have ruled the Wahs out already and would not be surprised to see a late AFB switch for Cronulla finals bid. There was a lot of talk that Trindall was the problem for Nicho, after the weekend I would suggest Nicho was the problem for Trindall.

Start of the year SJ and Nicho a couple of the golden players in the comp, now respective teams would arguably like to have them stay injured

    🙂

In all honesty he has been very average this year and clearly has not been able to hit the ball up. Better that he's out and can recover then stink up the joint.

After the start in Game 2, might need to set several alarms clocks around the Queensland squad.

What temp is it to make it freezing in Brisbane? It's been NZ cold in Sydney the past few days.

Anyway, what do peeps think about RTS on the wing and Tuaupiki at fullback? I'm not sure if RTS on the wing is a good thing or not.

Also, hope Barnett doesn't get lots of minutes in your guys bogan off tonight - then we're effectively down to a one prop rotation.

I think RTS gets more opportunity to roam as a wing than he does as a centre, so I dont mind it over centre. While I personally think RTS is the better fullback, if Tuapiki the next best player available from the lower levels then we are almost forced into this. We also have one young centre back playing in Ali Leiataua so hopefully he kicks on from what he showed last year before getting injured.

Im also hoping Barnett doesn't play many minutes, as the alternative middle rotation does look weak.

People wear beanies and gloves as soon as it is below 20°C

At half that they'll be dressed like an Antarctic expedition. If they even leave home.

My hope for Barnett no longer minutes concern, more hope he doesn’t get sent off, something tells me this could get messy

That defensive set from Queensland is as brutal as I’ve ever seen.

If both teams can keep this intensity up it’ll be one hell of a game.

DCE and Luai throwing handbags, results in an all cuddling session. How good, love the passion in it.

Nanai binned for rushing in first, Murray binned from the bench for giving lip, and for some unknown reason NSW get the penalty.

There’s nothing in it, no one should have been binned.

I can sort of understand Nanai given he can in unsighted with a shoulder.

Not a fan of Luai by any stretch but DCE was dumb there.

Now Maroons are on the ropes.
