Sam Cane should still have been picked
-

Aso moved to Centre when Woodward went off and he played better there. Will be interesting if they keep the original Aso/Proctor combination against the Chiefs or revert back to Laumape.

Woodward went off in the second half when the score was already 26-8. If you are looking at players who moved to centre during a match, Moala has a better case in my opinion.
-

7. Matt Todd (Crusaders) – huge defensively with 17 tackles & 3 turnovers but his role in getting to the breakdown so quickly was also key for other Crusaders snaffling turnovers too. He’s not an overt attacking threat like Ardie Savea (Hurricanes), who was excellent against the Rebels, but Matt Todd was never far from the ball on Friday night playing an excellent supporting role that allowed others to shine.

As predicted Matt Todd is surpassing both
-

Well can't argue with ACT too much, thought it close between Todde and Ardie, but Canes was invisible on weekend!!

Yeah I thought Ardie had a huge game, not 6'2 huge, but workrate around the park, he was exceptional.

Todd has looked really sharp since coming back into the side. Not only defensively but he had an excellent game in attack. Always in support but also showed off some nice passing both ways whilst in the attacking line.
-

Cane did nothing wrong though. Totally Error free.100% tackle rate.
-

Matt Todd is the kind of flanker who would be a star for the 6N sides. I reckon he is about 5% away from being a regular AB. Unfortunately 5% or 50%, I don't think he's going to feature, although I suppose if Savea is away at 7s (I forget if he's signed on...) then Todd could well be in with a shout for the bench.
