I'm excited by it as it might be our last chance to win as NZR is hell bent on destroying the NPC.
I haven't seen anywhere where NPC is going, just be some tweeked. Well apart from in rugby forums. It will be around for a while yet mate.

Have you got the word from your fellow Nakian Robinson, because after reading the governance report/media/lack of marketing for the NPC it sure as hell looks like they're setting up to can it.

Well you have to have the provinces agree to changing the governance strudture for it to go ahead. And that will be like asking the turkeys to vote for xmas mate. Have the faith, the goernance report siad there wer too many pro players for our population, so they will cut a few teams that are struggling.

They'll cut the entire NPC, as a pro comp, and rightly so at 400K or whatever it was per game.

Any news on Weber?
-
@Magpie_in_aus Haven't seen/heard anything. I hope he's good to go on Saturday. If not, play Folau the full 80 because I don't trust Wye.

YNot the worst backup to weber. Agree though play him the entire game. Or do what the All blacks did when they gave nuggy a ten minute mid game rest to avoid playing Christie.

Interesting photos of training on the official socials. The caption says "Stable's full".
Not only Isaac Salmon is back; also Neria Fomai, Danny Toala and Solomone Funaki are training with the squad. I thought Funaki was ruled out for the season. Or maybe he was only ruled out for the rest of Tonga's RWC campaign?
Not that I'd expect them changing things up after playing an unchanged team the past few weeks, but Fomai would be eligible. Not sure about the others (being officially named in the squad doesn't 100% reflect a player's contract status, I think). Haven't spotted Tuitavuki and 'Apikotoa in the photos (they'd be eligible, too).
Edited to add that Harry Godfrey was already back training with the squad last week, or two weeks ago.
