I know an owner of Triple Crown Syndications, should I ask him?
Owner with or owner of?
Because if it's Owner of, then yes, ask him where his money is going
Of.
-
Oooh. They've had some bloody good horses
They'll have Mazu in the Everest which isn't a bad bet

That gold trip run was outstanding. Really looking forward to the next few weeks. Culminating in a trip to Melbourne for the first week of November, with two days on course.
Yeah I'm going to Derby Day this year
Nice man. I'm going to the Melbourne Cup and Stakes Day. Would have preferred to have gone to Derby day instead of Stakes. But I'm heading to the Dunedin Beerfest and only getting back to Wellington on the Saturday. I just fizz for racing in Australia
-
I did those two last year
The energy around the actual Cup race is very cool.
-
Starts getting serious now:
Randwick has the richest race on turf, but not a whole lot else
The Everest market can barely split Think About It and I Wish I win. TAI deserved favourite given the perfect draw, IWIW getting gate 1 wouldn't have made connections happy.
My value bet is Overpass, the likely leader draws gate 2, and at $14s currently looks okay. Cylinder at 9s looks a decent bet too. What ever you pick, multi it in to Mr Brightside in R9, that's a serious fucking racehorse.
It's Spring though, so the real shit is in Melbourne, with the Caulfield carnival first up.
The Might And Power is everyone trying to run down Alligator Blood. 2000m looks an issue. Melbourne Cup bound Just Fine is probably the go.
Caulfield Guineas should be a cracker. Unbeaten Steparty v Militarize. There are also a bunch of horses that both these two have already spanked. Hope it's a drag race.
Amelia's Jewel is a deserved favourite in the Toorak. I like Pinstriped at 17s, losing to Mr Brightside is no knock.Required caveat: As those who know me can attest, i am a dogshit punter. Do NOT listen to a word i have to say. I'll chuck all teh above out on race day and just punt things paying $7-14 or has Blake Shinn on the back
Remember, never punt sober.
-
Fun day. I hope you all ignored every comment I made.
Favourites rolled everywhere. After I bit of a fill up early it all got a bit yucky later in the day
Went hugely overboard on the Everest and got fucking nothing back.
Mr brightside beat
Amelia's jewel beat
Militarize/steparty beat.
But not by anything I was onAlligator Blood fucking impressive
-
We're deep in the majors now.
Caulfield Cup was an awesome race, with the 3 favs fighting it out, and in the end Without a Fight getting the choccies. Form references for the Melbourne Cup now say Gold Trip if its wet, WAF if it's dry.
Other result that interested me was in R2, where Sunsets held on to beat the short fav Riff Rocket. I have a futures on Sunsets for the Derby that is either looking good now, or fucked as it's already won its target race. This week we're off to Death Valley for the Cox Plate, and the field is, on paper, fucking good.
JMac is talking up HK raider Romantic Warrior, which will start favourite despite getting blown by in the Turnbull.
Gold Trip is going to run everything apparently.
Alligator Blood at the Valley from Gate 5 now proven over 2000m? tasty
Mr Brightside. Good horse
Fangirl. Smacked Mr Brightside last start
Duais, Pinstriped and Militarize are all good horses that the market will miss.Cox Plate day also has the Manikato now, where Imparatriz will just win.
-
Sydney has Spring Champion Stakes Day, with that G1, another created big money race called The Invitation for $2m, and a G2.
-
oh, and i have now decided to stay in Melbourne and go to Flemington for Melbourne Cup day. Fuck it, why not?
-
Fuck you James Mac, ended up on Mr Brightside. So typical of my betting today.. done by a nose lol

Me too!!!
I dipped out on all 3 photos for first in Syd/Melbourne today. Not fucking happyGreat fucking race
Gold Trip's run was huge and looks a solid MC bet now (as if it ever wasn't)
-
Imperatriz smoked them in the Manikato
Prowess a good win in the crystal mile
Tom Kitten very impressive in the Spring Champions, and maybe Derby bound -
I have missed most of carnival due to travelling but enjoyed last two days of racing. Yeah I’m watching Tom kitten for the derby!
Thought we had the Cox plate though when he found room on the rail, Damn it
-
Dude me too! I was sort of celebrating but RW just kicked back
Aerial shot of the finish is excellent viewingAs much as I think the valley is a shit track, the Cox Plate is a great race
Well, when Winx isn't chasing everyone off -
Nailed the quinella with the Cox Plate. Pulled 60% out and played silly buggers with the reat
-
Nice!
-
I've watched the chopper vision of the CP like 5 times now. It's a cracking finish. I reckon you could run that same race 10 times and get a different winner every time.
Melbourne Cup field taking shape, we're down to 40. And i think 37 of them are no hope, and half of them couldn't win if they started today.
-
Thanks to Skew Wiff, I walked out of Flemington even and even got my
hands on the cup. So a great day. -
any day coming out breakeven is a win!
