Fuck Bournemouth defence shocking, coach has not got it right, one of the goals conceded again ridiculously stupid.
Angry start to the weekend as 4 send off already (only one a straight red but still)
At least my FPL team surely on the up lol!

Arsenal lucky to salvage a draw but if Arteta is consistent with his comments on wanting competition for all spots on the team he should have pulled Reya and Odegaard today. Odegaard goes missing when he does not have space or when we are not dominating. Rice should be captain.
-
@broughie Enzo did a great job man marking him with Caicedo closing down the other options. The only one who looked likely in that midfield was Rice.
Sanchez can be blamed for Chelsea not winning that . Arsenal didn't look like getting anything out of that game up until that howler.

May have been the case but he has gone missing in a lot of important games. He is supposed to be the captain and can not continue to go MIA. Now with Partey and Rice in the midfield he does not have to do as much.
Arsenals problems are several including up front where Saka and Martinelli are not taking on their opposites. They turn back inside allowing 2 v 1 situations and slowing down play. Very predictable and if they do this White or whoever in on the left has to overlap to create the mismatch. They also lack an actual striker.
Arsenal screwed up by investing in Havertz in the midfield instead of grapping an actual midfield player (Fofana type) to take the pressure of Partey who is getting older and more injury prone. But Arteta thinks he can make a silk purse out of a a sows ear. Arrogant and stubborn.

If the rumours are true, Bournemouth will be looking for a new manager if he doesn’t pick up the points against Burnley.
The squad (those who are fit) haven’t adjusted to his style, regardless if his coaching staff have not got permits to help him in the role yet.
Interestingly GON suggested most of the buys we picked up were his targets which defies belief that Foley then axed him, especially anyway after last season’s late rally
A lot of angry supporters on the South coast right now for sure..
-
@bayimports I see that Foley is also behind the Auckland A-League expansion team.

He bought Bournemouth, liked FC Lorient so bought them and now looking at Auckland. Who knows perhaps he might get a few more supporters through acquisitions, time will tell.
He does not accept failure which is potentially great news for Auckland, however I’m not swayed on his trusted advisors at this time given what is happening at Bournemouth right now.

Meanwhile Ange's Spurs keep marching on....
They did indeed. Popped along to the game last night. Awesome stadium & organisation. Absolutely fantastic.
Spurs should have won 4-0 they were that much better than Fulham. Brilliant start to the season for them.
First EPL match in a while - had forgotten how fast the game is live. You really don't get the idea of just how skilful they are through the TV.

You lucky bastard. Spurs are playing a great brand right now, swagger and style, our back 4 and GK are playing great hence the clean sheets

Jeez that bloke is a breathe of fresh air. Must be lovely to be a Spurs fan right now, can’t think of many times that’s been true in my life.

I thought we had it good during the Pochettino era. But Aussie Ange looks to be even better. We used to depend on one or two players for creativity, guys like Kane or Eriksen. But at the moment everyone is chiming in with a pass to release a team mate, lots of players moving well without the ball, it feels close to total football. And we suddenly got younger and faster, a combination of players Conte refused to use, and new signings. Depth is still an issue, as we saw last night when the subs all came on and Fulham started creating chances. But our lack of European football this season might actually be a blessing as Ange works to get his system right. I am sure there will be tougher times to come, but with Ange we are nothing if not entertained

How hard is it to get tickets to matches?
-
@Billy-Tell I don't think it's overly difficult. I went in on a mates ticket - 3 of them have 3 seats together (awesome seats, front row of tier 3 right on the corner flag) and they put them into the resell if they can't go.
I know a few Spurs fans and they all buy into the not making a profit on their tickets. If you want to head to a game, then let me know and I'll ask around. It will be difficult for a Europe or a top tier match (city etc) but if you want Spurs vs a middle table non London club, then it should be quite straight forwards to get you tickets at face value.

Tx! Obviously I’d never expect to get tickets for Tottenham vs Arsenal but for a less glamour fixture, if I’m ever in London I’d be keen.

Slightly off topic but I'll whack it in here. Watched the Beckham doco on Netflix.
It's basically a 4 hours of PR for him and his family. And by fuck does it work. Really engrossing story of his life and the person he is. I was in the UK for his redemption story (not the kick) and the vitriol he got before it from many angles was insane.
Found myself laughing out loud a few times - Figo is brilliant & even Gary Neville was humorous. Beckham's interplay with his wife/kids was quite funny too - the bit about the Rolls going viral is all time classic. Interesting how all the Real Madrid guys came across - was surprised to hear how much they rallied around him. Always came across to me that he wasn't quite accepted.
Really worth a watch. Fascinating thing too is the Rebecca Loos part. Even though her name was never mentioned, he certainly didn't deny it and was careful with his words. It almost came across as a confession.
