Serious question:
When was the last time you saw a goal from a corner?
Seems so 1980s.
Your thoughts?
Spurs scored a lot in Conte's first season. The since deceased corner coach had some great movement to get players free. Otherwise I find corners and static crosses are a futlie exercise. Australia have had fewer shots on goal, but they attack with more pace and look more dangerous to me. England have to push the pace. And as I type England score from a throw in. Aussie defence caught flat footed

Fabulous strike
Great half of football so far
-
Aussie is a bit hoof and hope at the moment.
-
Poms push and get caught
-
Let it go. Was always too long
-
Poms escape
-
1-zip Poms at the half

Can't see Australia winning from here - it looks to me like the Poms are wise to the counterattack game we beat the Dutch with, and our one failure on defence could easily be repeated.
I wouldn't be so sure. Only takes one taken chance. England doing well to keep the ball, but have been chances both ways.
England will need to keep pushing ... if they start to protect the lead, then that will certainly give Australia an open gate back in.

I agree. England have left openings, and it only takes one moment. But the Aussies need to push the pace

So my question about corners... ?
Is there really any advantage?

Oh shit that was good
