Crusaders 2024

Te Kaha won't open until April 2026, but the Crusaders are urging fans to go on a priority list for tickets.
Colin Mansbridge thinks the crusaders will sell out the season tickets at the new stadium. He’s dreaming. Rugby will be dead by then. -
Rivez Reihana has been signed by the Crusaders .

Reihana was always going to be struggling for game time at the Chiefs with the return of Trask. Hopefully he gets more opportunities to play at the Crusaders. I guess that points to Ioane staying at the Chiefs too.
Quite interesting that Crusaders have got 2-10s that wouldn't get gametime at Chiefs.

Yeah the Chiefs should stop hoarding players. It's not fair.

Lol well they not really , they sent one to Japan and one to Crusaders last year.

Have heard Ioane Moananu is linking up with the Crusaders again next year as a replacement player (not part of the 38 contracted I don't think) as Codie Taylor is supposedly doing some sort of sabbatical.
Don't know the exact details, but I'm guessing it is more likely an extended break, e.g until May, rather than a contract in Japan.

Northland outside back Heremaia Murray has been signed by the Crusaders for 2024 , great reward for a stellar Npc season.

Really smart from the Crusaders
-
@SouthernMann Murray had turned down a wider training squad offer from the Blues

@SBW1 with Fergus Burke out, i would imagine Rivez Reihana and Taha Kemara now battle for the number 1 spot , i suspect with Burkes injury depending on the recovery time they will want to bring in an experienced head in the group.
Reihana has been very good for the Taniwha and has grown as a player, time in the saddle helps.
Maybe Aaron Cruden could be an option, Harford looks a tidy piviot but for me i would still want someone with runs on the board.
