@Kiwiwomble Yes, this is his third start. I think he's gone surprisingly well for a rookie. Didn't look out of place at all. Good, strong ball carrier. High workrate. I was a bit sceptical at the beginning about him getting the starts, but must admit he has exceeded my expectations. Still early day though.
Rookie? Didn't he play for the Highlanders last year?

Wilson running hard
He fucks up so often when in space though.
Hard running is his only skill.
-
Nice inside pass and good hard running with balance puts LF in under the posts.
Seems the Reds have played the vast majority of the rugby so far and find themselves 0 - 10 down.
-
@antipodean Kinda misleading though. 'Saders easily containing the Reds and then easily converting with any entry into the Reds half.

Some better handling and decision making would have a score board effect IMO.
-
I'd be remonstrating with Murphy too. His positioning at that scrum was diabolical, obviously impeding a defender..
-
@antipodean Might as well just say if the Reds were good they'd score more points?

Lovely snipe
Ran straight at the gap created by taking the defender well beyond the ruck. Nice work.

Skill and decision making can be improved. The positive is he building blocks are there. Case in point; that try.
-
Some try by the Reds.
