@Billy-Tell Boks will be up for revenge having succumbed in their last match against Ireland in 2022. They will have a point to prove.
If Ireland win against Tonga, that’ll be 15 wins in a row. Beat the Boks for 16, Scotland for 17, win the QF for 18 and match the current record. Anything after that sets a new record.
Come off it mate. I can just about imagine Ireland beating the Boks, but winning a quarter-final? That's delusional

I've seen a lot of posts like this, the last 24 hours.
It's fucking dire. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?
I’ve had technical issues leading up to the games so have missed the anthems. What’s wrong with them ?
It’s a children choir. Which is not so bad. But they sing a Capella. So you get “allons les enfants…” then the second wave kicks in with “allons les enfants…” and you get out of sync and overlapping and bewildered players and spectators. Just kills the anthems.
I liked it! Very French, why not
Because it's an abomination and a crime against rugby?

Yes! Back to traditional anthems unless the union (for some weird reason) prefers the children’s a capella version.

That's a really shit decision
Love it or hate it, things like this are what makes each RWC unique
All they had to do was slow the choir / piped track down
It's not fucking rocket science
I really, really hope that Wales continues to use the choir to respect what France as a host nation has put together
I wish World Rugby would concentrate on the important shit like referee and disciplinary hearings consistency

Settle down. Each union can still choose. So wales can have the children’s choir if they want.

If World Rugby really wanted to improve things they’d stop micing (sp) the players
Always a cacophony of chaos and caterwauling

Possible Unpopular Opinion
The tournament suffers as a spectacle by only having games on the weekend.

Not at all unpopular to me.
Can easily fit in mid week games.
Tournament is dead for a week.

At least next week there’s a Thursday match. So it’s just Tuesday & Wednesday off
I think bye weeks kill the momentum more. After the AB’s play Namibia they have 2 weeks off before Italy

Bye week us related.
If they had mid weekend they wouldn't have a bye.

@mariner4life 100% agree.

There’s no easy answer without increasing the number of teams. Otherwise we are back to minnows getting 3 days between matches.
-
Make the big teams also have short turnarounds as well
Thr other problem is, especially with these kick off times, I will watch less minnow games.

Jeez I hate auto correct.
Happy to sound/read like I'm drunk when I am... but I'm not at 12 noon on a week day. Usually.
Hope you all could interpret...

But they sorted that last time. All teams got the storm week.

@MN5 Interesting. Australia with more players (4) in that list than SA (1).
NZ's sole representative is a back up at the moment, though I'm sure his time will come in the next 4 years.
I wonder how many of the players listed currently play or recently played in the French Top 14?
