Tie break rules incase the ABs and Italy end up on the same points at the end of pool play
- Points scored in the matches played between the teams
- Points difference all pool matches
- Tries difference in all pool matches
- Number of points scored in all pool matches
- Number of tries scored in all pool matches
- Position in the World Rugby rankings

Even Fozzie's flops should be able to escape this pool, surely?
I don’t see Namibia or Uruguay causing the ABs many problems, but if they play as poorly against Italy as they have done in the last two games then they could plummet out of the tournament at the end of pool play.

Some Definitions inspired by RWC 2023....
Roigard - a spectacular try made by a replacement coming on when the result is beyond question. "He came on and did a Roigard. (not to be confused with a Perenara where a player comes on and imitates a seagull)
Jerome - a crucial turnover when the opposition are camped on your try-line. Poss. named after mythical forward of immense power and possessed of an outstanding chin. "When the opposition are that close to the line you need a Jerome”
Barratt. A three-sided instrument used by NZ coaches when selecting team positions "We weren't too sure who to select at 15 so we used a Barratt”
Sexton (n). Irish vernacular for hemorrhoids. (v) to hold one’s head and roll on the ground to try and get a penalty.
Eddie (v) To claim the credit for winning by coming on a replacement when all the hard work had been done and then buggering off when times get hard. "England were crap until Eddie happened and when he made them more crap, he buggered off"
Eddie (n) a term used in the RFU and by many England supporters to describe a bowel movement. "I feel better after dumping that Eddie "
SBW (n) A commentator - normally an ex-player who talks complete garbage. "There's SBW on TV now talking crap"
DMac (n) A half sized Big Mac
Villi (n) A Rugby tradition where this word is added to the end of every Georgian rugby player's name by commentators. E.g. Smithvilli
Farrell (n). A medical condition causing a player great difficulty in lowering his shoulder when tackling. "The player's concussion was caused by Farrell."
Bridge (n). An attacking tactic used by a winger which avoids any attempt to evade the tackler.
Foley (n) To go into a trance like state where time stands still when taking a kick.
Chip Kick (n) A tactic used by AB teams to put artificial pressure on themselves to learn to cope with pressure in bigger games. Often used inadvertently in bigger games.

@sparky be the perfect way Fozzie to end his coaching stint , losing to Italy and the All Blacks not even getting out of the pool stages , on saying that I suspect they the Blacks should go through but the misery will end in the quarterfinals that I’m 95%-100% sure of.
Glad to be proved wrong , but I suspect it’s what a lot supporters are thinking. -

What if France tank the game against Italy.....
We have to win every game running up the scoreboard. And beat Italy

I’ve had technical issues leading up to the games so have missed the anthems. What’s wrong with them ?

Sounds like a children's choir singing them and adding harmonies and rounds. Fucking awful.

It’s a children choir. Which is not so bad. But they sing a Capella. So you get “allons les enfants…” then the second wave kicks in with “allons les enfants…” and you get out of sync and overlapping and bewildered players and spectators. Just kills the anthems.

While having a ( already quite desperate ) think about how Scotland can make the quarter finals I had a think about Ireland too.
They’ve got the easy beats out of the way. They have a tougher match coming up against Tonga but then shit gets interesting.
A MASSIVE match against the Boks which will most likely decide first and second…..but then if Ireland beat SA ( a match that is too tough to call ) they’ll then have to back up and beat Scotland which is definitely not a given to top the pool.
If they make the quarters that’s five tough matches in a row to win the cup.
If this happens they’ll definitely deserve it.

I’m going to call it. SA to beat Ireland handily enough.

@Billy-Tell Boks will be up for revenge having succumbed in their last match against Ireland in 2022. They will have a point to prove.
If Ireland win against Tonga, that’ll be 15 wins in a row. Beat the Boks for 16, Scotland for 17, win the QF for 18 and match the current record. Anything after that sets a new record.
