Blackburn upset Leicester 2-1 away and will be joined in the QF draw by Brighton, Fulham (2 great goals against a Leeds team who definitely gave it a go and were unlucky not to score being profligate in front of goal) and Man City who are 3-0 up at Bristol

Likely winners tomorrow are Burnley, Spurs, Man Utd and Southampton although only Burnley are dead set certs.

The opponents being Fleetwood, Sheffield Utd, West Ham & Grimsby respectively.

a kind draw could see the season getting even better for the Cottagers....

We will get Citeh for sure

Grimsby (League Two) has knocked out Southampton 2-1

Burney didnt take the lead against non-league Fleetwood until the 90th minute despite Fleetwood being down to 10 men for the whole second half

West Ham led Man Utd but currently 1-1

Man U score twice in injury time to beat the Hammers and Sheffield Utd hold on to put Spurs out 1-0

    Quarter Finalists
    Both Manchester clubs
    Brighton
    Grimsby
    Fulham
    Burnley
    Sheffield Utd
    Blackburn

    So 4 Premiership
    The top 2 Championship sides
    Blackburn
    and Grimsby

    C'mon you Whites

Want to see the two Manchester clubs draw each other and Fulham Brighton avoid each other - best chance to see a non Top 6 eventual winner

Arsenal gets some revenge with a 4-0 win over Everton.

Liverpool are finding some form before their big clash with Man U.

    @dogmeat

    Draw is:

    City v Burnley
    United v Fulham
    Brighton v Grimsby
    Sheffield United v Blackburn

So we're guaranteed at least one non premier league team in the semis and could have as many as three.

Blackburn v Burnley final would be very pre-World War 1.

And come on Fulham, I'm really missing Ole's United - they are much too efficient under Ten Hag and scoring way too late goals in Fergie time.

Good win for the Arse tonight - they seem to have played through their mini-blip. Watched them against Leicester and it was the most dominant 1-0 win I've seen for a while. They press really well, pass through the team really well and have some outstanding attacking talent.

@KiwiPie Way too many Lancashire clubs

    Plus Cleethorpe's Yorkshire really...

Brighton and Fulham fighting for the Home Counties against t' cloth cap brigade.

Beating ManU away isn't impossible but I'd rather have had the Mariners

It's been a bad week for us. Dodgy referee was the problem of course. We definitely will have to go to North Wales and come back with 3 points.

@KiwiPie well eight months ago Grimsby finished 8th in the Bananarama League and now they're in the FA Cup QF so anything can happen in football (sorry I realise they knocked you out in the play-offs)

Gutted about last nights result against Arsenal. Happy for Arsenal and they showed their class to get up, but thought we deserved a point out of that game. We put in a much improved performance and will be needed for the remainder of the season.

Didn't help that Wolves and Southampton also picked up wins. Still hope to avoid the bottom three, but will need a lot of luck with remaining fixtures

@bayimports Obviously I am very happy about the result. Bournemouth defended really well and had some chances to score themselves. Ramsdale made some important saves. A great strike from Nelson.

Arsenal don't get much love from VAR. That first handball was a penalty.

Well that probably puts an end to any title aspirations Manchester united had for this season. Liverpool move within striking distance of the top 4 and almost double there GD.

    Wacky season.

@bayimports Tough to take that late winner for Bournemouth, the ref seemed to be playing until the Arse scored. It did show how good Arsenal are though, a bit like City last season they lack a central striker so often end up playing endless crosses but in the end the pressure told. Who the hell knows who will end up going down - there is not a lot between any of them down there, it all comes down to the teams who can scrape a few wins.

There was some appalling defending in that game by Man U, some kind ricochets for Liverpool and United also seemed to stop running after 3-0. But yes, Liverpool should make the top 4 and United will probably be happy to start in the top 4.

We couldn't even blame Maguire for the comical defence.

Shit season for LFC, but apparently that's MUFC's worst ever defeat in the EPL.

    @antipodean

In their last 4 matches the aggregate score is 17-2! And somehow Liverpool managed to lose one of those games.

I think the ref was only playing the allotted time. Sorry for your loss. I think Nelson added a little bit more in being direct when he came on and not tooting his horn because of the goal.

I think the Liverpool Man U game was a bit of an aberration. Every bounce was going Liverpools way but obviously they did not help themselves and Rashford was anonymous and not totally his fault.

Lord only knows if Maguire was there although I'll give him one thing, maybe 2. He is good in the air which may have been helpful and his reputation is greater than his ability. World Cup first team pick wtf??

Also my new favourite play Eduardo Camavinga. This guy eats up space. I would pay a chunk of change to get him with Arsenal.

Yes it was right on the limit - I suspect if Bournemouth had cleared the corner further away, the ref would have called time - literally the last kick of the game.
