Relief
He’s on some sort of try scoring run. if only he didn’t miss those early games, he’d be leading the comp.

Seriously the drug testers need to get out to Penrith
4 fucking years of flat out high energy football, and they still look fitter than everyone
Their key players never get injured
They win every collision. Even skinny wingers overpower defendersI've never seen anything like it
The only way they don't win 3 straight is some weird act.of god

@mariner4life I'm thinking that they gonna go on some Crusaders like winning streak of titles lol. Surely someone stops them eventually. They are scary good, and once someone leaves the side, someone from their juniors comes in as if no one's left the joint.
-
@African-Monkey salary cap will get Penrith eventually.
Seriously the NRL need to sort their attitude to concussions. CNK knocked out with a shoulder to the head and the guy gets 1 week. Stuff article refers to it as dazed. This has prospect of some big future court cases. The culture of league is an issue. It’s about technique but they need to work harder on protecting the head. They have done so well with many other tackle issues but somehow don’t think the head matters as much.

@kev Nah, their junior system is way too strong. All they need to do is keep their main 6 players and build around them. They've already lost Kikau and Koroisau, replaced them easily and will replace Crichton and Leniu no problem too.
They'll be at the top for a long time.

Their whole system is quite phenomenal. I met Ben Harden last year and they have a pipeline that is as long as your arm. Every other NRL club will be looking at them and trying to lure their youngsters with big coin.
-
@ACT-Crusader And the thing is, is that even though those kids may have an easier path to the NRL with a lesser club, they would probably be persuaded to stay longer at Penrith to develop under a more successful culture. They only seem to leave when the squeeze on the cap comes along during contract renewals.
-
Leniu and Crichton are actually key players for them, and if they can be replaced without skipping a beat then you can basically lock them in to never losing again.
Huge catchment chock full of kids playing league (oh and look, heaps of polynesians) that they have spent time and money getting them emotionally attached to the club. Kids out there want to be Panthers, so their conveyor belt will just roll on.
-
This weekend basically, in my mind, sorted out who can and cannot win
Will be in teh GF = Panthers
Look the best of the rest and have the players to win = BrisbaneEveryone else is hoping for a punchers chance. I actually rate our hopes higher after this weekend despite the struggle. We played poorly away from home and still won. That's not Warriors footy
Melbourne are cooked, their pack is not good enough.
Canberra, Cronulla, Souths Newcastle and Parra just aren't good enough
The Cowboys had their run and won't make the finalsEveryone else is planning mad monday.
Penrith to win the GF by 10+

It's a reflection of their catchment area.

only getting stronger as people are pushed West by the cost

@mariner4life big calls
I am not gifting Penrith anything yet.
I wouldn't rule out Souths, if they find their mid season form they will be hard to beat, but they were awful even with Trell back against the Sharks.
The draw should put Newcastle and Cowboys in the final, both play the Sharks and I expect both to beat them, but season defining match for both.
Storm will make the finals and assuming Hughes ankle is right, then they go into the finals with a full strength spine (Paps back this or next week) which will make them dangerous from anywhere.
Parra wont do enough to make the eight and although the Raiders will, they will be the only team, I don't expect to have a shot, unless they find some attacking spark from somewhere.
Panthers and Broncos separated by points differential. Panthers minor premiers.
Warriors to finish third, storm good enough to finish in top due to draw.
Souths, Raiders, Knights and Cowboys to round out the eight.Im picking we can beat Penrith and we will likely need to to make GF, with us taking on Broncos in the final
I am sure I will be wrong lol
-
Souths have the talent but that was a bad loss on Saturday.
I don't think we can beat Penrith. I'm not gifting it to them yet, but their defense is so fucking good they are not going to need many points to win.
Papi and Hughes will make a huge difference to the Storm but their forward pack was taken apart on Friday, and loss of all those guys is starting to bite.
Finals footy is different, but i hope someone can win by chancing their arm rather than Penriths pressure just getting another title.
Seriously, how come they don't miss tackles or make errors? It's superhuman.
