NRL 2023 + Internationals

Sheeeesh, almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
That last 7-8 minutes we looked flat as.
Luke had a mare

Geez this Broncos side is looking scary. Their pack has just straight beaten Souths up tonight, and the scary thing is, is they are so young!
They'll be the next to win a premiership after Penrith.

I think Latrell has a similar impact as SJ to us this season, but Walsh is just carving it up

@bayimports The Bunnies are a bit like the old Knights sides were in the Joey Johns days. They can beat anyone with Latrell on the field, but are barely half the side when he isn't there.
Billy Walters is a lucky kid as he wouldn't have a career in the NRL if it weren't for his father. They look far better without him at dummy half.

@bayimports Gus Gould seems to think the Cowboys can win the comp.

Not in my top two teams but if they make the 8, they will give it a good shake. They’re a very good team with real game breakers, but surely a team that gets whipped by the tigers can’t win.. not writing them off though. Unbelievable comeback from where they were though

Jesus the bandwagon is real
More.and more faces turning up in a warriors game thread
Welcome back guysI was watching on my phone at my sons soccer game. I turned off when they forced that goal line drop out with 2.30 on the clock thinking we had it in the bag.
Started driving only for the notification to come through on my watch about Golden Point?! The fuck??!! Would have been furious if we didn't bank those 2 points. Up until that point it was a fine performance. Couple of close saves, but we forced Canberra to make a few as well.
Good win considering both halves had some very ropey moments in attack

And the Broncos hammer souths
If the bunnies really are a one man team all of a sudden they aren't going far in September even if they make it.
Brisbane are in this up to their eye balls
-
@bayimports warriors v cowboys GF and I'll see you there!!!
-
@mariner4life given that would mean no Sydney teams we could probably easily find tickets too!

Watching that match last night, you could argue Brisbane is also a one kid team as well. Remove Walsh’s involvement and Souths probably win. They look good though although old Marty Tapau needs to keep his Moulin Rouge impressions off the field
-
Watched press conferences for teams that lost last night. Jason Demetriou for South’s was all class. Didn’t labour ref decisions e.g should Martin Taupau have been sent off?, just talked about the Club coming together to get more consistent performances from the team. Whereas Ricky Stuart was all petulance. Face like a wet sock. Answered about 2 questions, mostly to have a crack at refs and then left abruptly. He seems like just an angry man all the time. Dallin brushed the guys face as he came done on the ball/hands of Kris to get the knock on. Hardly a sure thing.
But he did make some complementary comments about Andrew Webster and success he is having.

What's with this game! Sharks absolutely brilliant the last 10-15
-
Well unusually things went the Warriors way. Not only did they hold on to win a game they would have historically lost some other results went our way.
Weird weekend in some respects with Newcastle beating Melbourne and the Sharks losing to Manly means we hold third on the ladder...Even the Roosters showed signs of life which although I don't think they make any finals, they could still knock others over including helping us further up the ladder..could even Newcastle sneak into the final eight?
Souths fans still cursing Freddy for not only screwing NSW, but having Latrell injured at his training..they were not the same without him, although apparently a certainty next week though
-
Cowboys are flying. Still have to play the top 2, but at least the Broncs at home, and the Panthers i the last round who may be resting players. Still a chance at the top 4 somehow.
Souths could easily win out given their draw
-
@mariner4life Drinkwater absolutely carving it up, will be interesting to see if you can maintain momentum without Nanai for approx 4-6 weeks.
Certainly all teams need some luck with injuries too at this time of year

The EBA dispute is getting really fucking silly
Obviously talks have completely broken down.
Players stopped talking to the media
Clint Newton is meeting with fucking union bosses in Victoria
And now the players are going to cover the NRL logo, and maybe boycott the Daly M'sNow, i won't side with the governing body over the players pretty much ever, and i am not here either.
But the players are doing a lot of empty shit that most people just do not care about, but also crucially cost them nothing.
You really want to show how committed you are? Go on strike. Actually sacrifice something if you really want to show you support the little guy. -
Thursday night went as per ladder position
The Roosters had a dig but they are levels below the Broncos and were slapped. The scoreline looks bad as it is, let alone if you add the try that was incorrectly taken off Staggs, and the one where the ref made the tackle right in the line.
Storm v Parra tonight is huge for both teams seasons
