Not a good start to Grant Bradburns coaching career as an international coach, losing both 20/20s so far.
He's coaching Pakistan!
Outside of Chapman, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th-string players haven't taken their chances so far. Some are clearly not up to it. Even some of the regulars haven't fronted.
As a side note, there is a big Canterbury flavour in the NZ XI.

Anyone been following the T20/ODI tour of Pakistan? I didn’t even realise it was on
I see we lost the first two T20’s over the weekend.. another one tomorrow morning
No.
Although, I reckon it might be interesting(ish) towards the end of the series and may be worth a watch by then, during the ODIs, if they acclimatise and might nick a game or 2. But, with Arsenal botching the Premier League run-in, I might not still have Sky on by then.
But it is full strength Pak (not allowed to participate in IPL) v 2nd string NZ (missing all IPL players).. So, a bit of a mis-match.

If anything, coaching Pakistan to wins over the Black Caps is a great audition after recent comments in NZ Cricket about having a specialist limited overs coach.
-
Also, Bradburn coached Scotland for 4 years, including at a world cup. So, not the start of his career as an international coach.
That took me down a wikipedia rabbit hole, where from a quick perusal of when they last won stuff - I have concluded that Northern Districts have been crap since he left, apart from in T20.

ND has always lost so many multiple format players to the NZ team that they seldom have those players available when needed in red ball cricket. We saw what impact Santner had in some games.
Watling to the rescue next season.

That was a fantastic chase to watch. Every over the other side took back control.

Well done Neesham as well, Pak need 15 of the last over. Gets tonked for 10 off first 3 deliveries, then 3 dot balls including 2 wickets..nerves of steel

Or maybe Pakistan weren't supposed to win.
