Pakistan don't have a great batting lineup, we just need to get Babar early and we'll have them in all sorts of trouble on the 5th day. Agree though I expected the pitch to break up a bit more by now.
I agree that Pakistan don’t have a great batting lineup. But we don’t have a great bowling lineup either.

Losing the captaincy seems to agree with KW so far ( even if his replacement showed gross ill discipline )
Average shot up again to 54.05. I love that, both Root and Kohli below 50 now and getting a double ton overseas should shut up the fuck you bloody crowd a bit……

Bracewell better show his value with the ball in the second innings because right now he looks like a waste of a spot
Mitch Santner Mark II.
32 wickets in 98 first class matches barely qualifies as a part timer. Bring back CDGH !!!!!

No love for Somerville either

That thought crossed my mind but really, he fucking dominated as captain as well, averaging like 60 odd for the past 5 years. I think Doull said he had been the best test batsmen on the planet during that time period. I still have to pinch myself when I see his record and realise he's a NZer. One of the best of all time in the longer format.

Absolutely.
He’s well and truly put to bed who is the best test batsman we’ve ever produced with all due respect to the late M Crowe.
It was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment, he has busted out some fantastic innings as captain as well obviously.
Incredible to think that Steve Smith averages a whole six runs more though, he is a freak.

If you're picking an all time NZ test lineup (and disqualifying the likes of Dempster who played bugger all tests), is Kane or Paddles the first name on the team sheet?
to me it's still Paddles
BUT
if for some weird reason you were only allowed to pick one, then it might be Kane. We've had some decent bowlers over the stretch. We haven't had too many other world class bats.

Paddles, he could bat a bit too. A handy low order batsman like he was is vastly underrated.
Possibly best to answer this one after KW has finished up though.
