@Chris he was pretty average in a losing side too. Sumner too strong
I am not surprised he was average,he has fallen off a cliff the last few years form wise.

@Stargazer yea, just a bit strange during the Super season he's down here, since he's aligned with BOP and the Chiefs now.
If he's coming back to the Lions that'd be great. Adding him and I'd assume Shields is Lions aligned would make me very happy!

I noticed that Ah Kuoi was playing with his children on the field after the Hurricanes-Chiefs game. It could have been just as simple as he was spending the week in Wellington with family so it was more convenient to play club rugby there.
Ngane Punivai has played for a Taranaki and Waikato club in the last 2 weeks.

Some horrendus scorelines from R6 in Auckland Club Rugby comp
The game in this city is in a whole heap of trouble based on some of the results we are seeing week in week out
You can pick the top 4 already ,Manukau Rovers,Gramnar Tech,University and Ponsonby
I attended the Manukau Rovers v Ponsonby game yesterday played at Cornwall Park expecting a close contest
Rovers won 47-17 , been a hell of while since the premier club in Auckland have conceeded close to 50 points .
Only a late try gave a bit respectability to the final scorelineIf Auckland dont pick Manukau Rovers 2nd Five Faletoi Peni , i will gladly get on the phone to Northland and give them the heads up
He certainly got the better of TJ Faiane not that the former Auckland & Blues 2nd five played that badly , but Faletoi was on another level and i believe he was still carrying an injury , has a useful kicking game and is more than capable off the teeSofai Maka on the wing was top draw both in attack and defence , would not suprise me if Auckland dont pick him he will end up somwwhere else ,the Manukau pack had 2 looseforwards playing at lock Savelio Ropati and former Northland Utilty Fano Funaki ,brother of Solomone has sensational skills in the air ,took all his own ball and some of Ponsonbys ball
Scratching my head as a Northlander on that one
Big no 8 Nela Matakaiongo is a beast on the carry , as he was last year but the guy who stood out like a human wrecking ball
Hooker Oneone Faafou a converted 7 makes metres all the time ,is on Samoan radar at the minuteHad a quick interview with TJ Faiane post patch what a good bugger ,just for those who are wondering , hes heading back to Japan and is not available for Auckland .

@Stargazer If you want to watch Latrell Smiler-Ah Kiong in action his club's game will be live-streamed.
A quick scan through the Waikato club team lists shows that Jack Lam is on the bench for Marist, and Gideon Wrampling is playing for Hamilton OB.

Live stream of the Wainui vs Petone game including Peter Umaga-Jensen/Bailyn Sullivan (Wainui) and Riley Higgins (Petone).
Definitely not a game for running rugby.
