Unfasthionable opinion. David Warner is one of the great batsmen of the last 20 years and never gets the credit he deserves. To score a double ton on his 100th Test at the MCG will have been a sweet moment for him after coping a lot of shit in his career.
averages 60 in Aus, South Africa and Bangladesh
Averages 26 in England, 24 in India, 26 in the Windies, 25 in Sri Lanka and 13 in NZ. Has never scored a 100 in any of those countries
That does not say "great" to me.

@mariner4life It does if you spell 'great'
f.l.a.t. t.r.a.c.k. b.u.l.l.y. -

Warner spent the night in a vat of pickle juice and he's back
Not for long
Nortje two wickets in two balls
Elgar is a shit captain. Nortje takes out two batsmen bringing the tail to the crease, and keeps his bullshit spread field for a hat trick ball.
Two more slips and a silly mid off was the call

Similar sorts of numbers to Latham really. And look, most batsmen pad their averages against the shit sides, but agree to be a great you should at least have a respectable record in the tougher conditions.

Anil Kumble: averaged 20 in India and 40 outside India.

Carey is such an enormous upgrade on Paine
(incidentally, where does a bog average cricketer with 35 tests get the unmitigated gall to release a book?)
This Australian side right now looks easily the best in the world. Their batting is full of runs, Lyon is still a canny operator, we've discussed the ridiculous pace depth already, and Green is coming along nicely.
Horribly one-sided summer of cricket.

Haven't you heard? - England are reinventing cricket
Best side ever, anywhere, any time - in the history of the game.
