I dunno, I think Kane was the right captain for our team. The 'Bazball' approach is great for punching above your weight at times, but carries a large amount of risk which we didn't need to take given we had world class players throughout our 11. I'm not sure we would have made the test championship final by throwing caution to the wind all the time, we were extremely consistent during that period which got us through to the final and I think our tactics were spot on for that whole period.

One of our biggest problems of late is that Kane hasn't played much test cricket, and our standards and consistency across the whole team notably dropped away, leading to that loss against the bloody Bangles at home.
