There are some surprising nominees and winners amongst that lot.
So Plumtree was right to select PGS in June.
Still some odd nominees in there though - Josh Ioane for Maori player of the year? Even Grace for Super Rugby, he was having an average season up until the the last few matches and the Maori games.

@Nepia The nominations and award aren't for MÄori Player of the Year. They're for MÄori All Blacks Player of the Year, so that suggests it's based on their performance for the MÄori All Blacks only. I'd have given that award to Grace or Harmon, but Stevenson is a good choice, too.
I agree PGS and Grace's nomination for SRP Player of the Year are odd, considering they only showed good form in part of the competion. PGS in the wrong part of the competition, too.
