could be anything.. if it stays soft and not heavy, then I'm sitting on the lightweight 24..would need some luck but I think most do with 22 horses running

Been a while since a post in here.
Kahlua Flybye is over in Australia at the moment for our syndicate and will line up in the heats for the New South Wales Pacing Oaks next weekend after warming up with a win at Menangle on Tuesday just gone. The other two in that syndicate look a bit average at the moment.
In other syndicates, we've just sold Mr McLaren to Queensland so we'll be off to the standardbred sales in a couple of weeks to buy a yearling. We've sacked the other one.
Hopefully the thoroughbred filly trained by True-Love (@Hooroo 's, that is) will be at the trials in a couple of months!

Time to bump this thread after a year since posts.
Orchestral utterly dominant in the NZ Derby. She'll be very hard to beat in her Sydney assignments in the autumn.
Lots of good horses to watch at the moment (and today, no less). Storm Boy, Fangirl are just two others going around today.

She did that easy, pretty special looking filly. Will be fun to see how she goes over the ditch.

Nz Oaks winner Pulchritudinous has her first run in Australia, after moving over and becoming a part of the Waterhouse Bott stable tomorrow. She will be racing in the Australasian Oaks at Morphetville. I'm a massive fan of this filly and it loves running over distance. Has had one trial over 1400 a couple of weeks ago. Looked like it was to blow out some cobwebs on the track. Also running in the same race will be the horses that ran 2nd and 3rd behind her in the NZ Oaks

Exciting time in the racing calendar. Good number of group level races here and Australia. Orchestral racing at Ellerslie for the first time this season. I've chucked her into a same race multi. Quite like Belardo Boy in the Hunterville Mile (G3). In the G3 James Squire. I'm a bit of a fan of Ceolwulf and Zardozi. In the Underwood Stakes I reckon Coco Sun has a bit of value.

Not the horse I'm personally picking but the TAB is giving away money with its slot pick for the Everest, I Wish I Win. Bet up to $50 on fixed odds, and get what ever you put in with bonus cash, no matter where it finishes. Unless it wins ofcouse. Then you collect. Also the cheeky $10m opportunity to pick the order of the race. The options from the TAB is bringing in the unlikely punters. The missus has $50 on I Wish I Win and has had a stab at the running order.

Melbourne Cup tomorrow. Interesting field, especially as the best horse in the field Via Sistina was pulled and entered into the Champions Stakes on the weekend instead. Nothing is really jumping out at me. Instead I'm going on Sharp n Smart to continue my trend of wasting my hard earnt on him.

it is open as shit this year

The only horse I can see winning paying under $10 is Onesmoothoperator. I reckon the winner will be a horse paying $20+.

I saw on social media something about NZ banning greyhound racing. Yep.
This may rattle the equine industry. I assume the Rodeo guys will be on their toes, but Dressage and others have potential issues here as well.
