I love horses that are fit, especially on heavier tracks or when they are front runners and back in distance (plus blinkers.....magic!)
Larimer street just then at MV was perfect example. Not a heavy track but a track that favours front runners and we had a fit horse back in distance with blinkers on. Too strong!

The one fucking time I don't bet on Loving Gaby...
Scales of Justice was done in the first 100m. Fucking Moonee Valley

Oneloveonelife debuting on Saturday for the other syndicate I'm involved with.
Tough ask for him as he's straight into a Group 3 race at Wyndham (R7) and up against some tidy Canterbury types (he's trained in Southland). Best case scenario would be for him to sneak into a placing after being saved for one run. He's at 21s and 3.30 which is entirely fair.
Saved for one run, but they walked up front so he struggled to make any ground in the straight. Wasn't disgraced on debut though, so that's fine.
Bit more disappointing today. Found the trail thanks to some gate speed. Gait looked a little sloppy on the turn but looked to kick 150m out before just stopping and fading to 6th of 6. I suspect we'll have to wait for a few months to see him at the races again (probably as a 3YO).

Paying places to 4th on NZ tab for this race and the Aus group 1s
-
What was the plan dip shit? 4 back on the rail? What did you expect?
-
So. Two year olds. Who’s going to win the Slipper? I guess I have to bracket 1. Tagaloa and 3. Farnan in my “must have” column, then 9. Dame Giselle, 10. See You Soon and 18. Minhaaj in my “deep plays.” I can never handicap these baby ponies. (1-3-9-10-18)
-
So so happy with it. Didn’t expect you to do that great on top of the ground but was always hopeful. To run second in a group 2 race is just fantastic
-
@Hooroo That is fantastic.
-
First of the G1s at Rosehill The Ranvet Stakes was a great duel, Addeybb and Verry Elleegant drawing away from the peleton before the final turn and battling all the way to the line. Amazing effort by both horses, Addeybb takes it. (Alive into the third leg of this Pick 3 sequence...)
-
Ohsweet, I just hit the Pick4 at Sam Houston. Played It small, fave/fave/fave/25-1 shot. Paid $212. Kinda small. I’ll take it.
-
This is fucked. I've barely been in a race let alone jagged a result
-
G1 George Ryder Stakes is coming up. This is a race Winx owned the last four times. Of course I’d love to see Te Akau Shark win it, but my ticket really-really wants Happy Clapper...
Shit. Dreamforce wins it. Kiwi-bred The Bostonian battled hard for 2nd. Te Akau Shark took an age to fire, came home 3rd.
-
Fuck you Castellvechio!! Absolutely fuck you!!!
You've been shit this prep, cost me heaps, I jump off and bang. Fucking....

I singled him in the first leg of my Pick 4, and I’ve gone wide on the three other legs. I was not as unhappy. 6-1.

My betting accounts look like the share market
-
@mariner4life my account is already in the deep recession....my march $$$ gone already.
-
I Am Not Excited. That does me for Rosehill today. (That tri and Super will likely be big.)

Looks like a big day re the short term future of racing in Aus with tougher measures coming in to play.
It's going to make this period of uncertainty even tougher. I'd expect that the bookies may also face a wee liquidity crisis as in addition to trading flows falling right back, they also are gonna have a run of withdrawals. I will certainly be moving most my funds back from the Aus bookies as can make much better use of them here for other things.

Vic racing set to continue for now despite restrictions

Anyone feeling punty this arvo? Who know how long we will have it...
JKs best bets
Doomben - r5 royal witness, r9 command and conquer
Rosehill - r3 quick thinker, r5 handle the truth, r9 star of the seas
Bendigo - r1 Grand promenade, r8 Hellova street to place, r9 big night out
Morphetville - r7 ambidazzle, r8 lil kontraTab promos for bb back 2nd-4th for bendigo first two races and all jmac rides at rosehill.
Bet smart and stay safe team
-
I’m going to play the early and late Pick 3 and Pick 4’s at Bendigo and Rosehill. Playing the legs tight, as much for entertainment as anything. Some good looking Kiwi-bred selections at both tracks. I might just load up on them. Waiting for the first at Rosehill to see how the turf looks. I suspect soft, but how soft?
-
With the Kentucky Derby postponed, the big race in the U.S. this weekend is the Florida Derby at Gulfstream. I’ll likely spend the afternoon playing the card. They pulled the plug at Santa Anita in California today, another prestige track closed. I have a woozy feeling they might do the same to tracks in Florida... so gots to get some (last minute?) action...
-
Starting Big...
Bendigo R3 0.20 cent Pick 3 - 2,5,9/2,6,7/1,3,10,11 - $7.20 bet (Dead on 2nd leg.)Rosehill R3 0.20 cent Pick 3 1,5,6/1,2,10/6,9,10 - $5.40 bet (Dead on last leg.)

Rosehill - r3 quick thinkerI took Quick Thinker in my Pk3. Going at 6/5 my end. Dunno what Tim Clark was doing on Pride of Adelaide. So I’m alive to the 2nd leg in both my Pick 3’s. Lookin’ like peanuts if theys hits...
r5 handle the truth
I didn’t take him in that third leg. But if I make it that far I’ll be concerned. Might have to play an exacta with him on top...
-
I haven't had a collect since we went behind closed doors. I'm blaming the lack of crowds...
Been beaten by a head a couple of times today already.
-
Just a dominant win for Veery Elleegent in the Tancred. Came from well back and in a stride was by them, zoomed past, easy and impressive. Paying peanuts but had to take in my Pick 4.
-
Another 2nd. This one wasn't close.
Futures best for s Melbourne cup I think
-
Comms sound worried. They’re right to be. All of April, for starters. Looks indefinite.
Staff stood down across Melbourne's three metropolitan racing clubs
-
Thirteen horses in R7 Rosehill, and all the money is on two horses, and most of it on the 1 horse. Hard to see either getting beat, but I’ll take a small swing. Some of these prices are crazy.
-
Pipped on the line again. Jesus
-
Horrific day. Struggled since lockdown too!

Got that right, I flushed 120 down the shitter, but I do have a small desperation double in the last. The multi-races wagers are going to pay sweet. I tried taking some money from Funstar and Probabeel, just picked the wrong horse(s). Peculiar strategy from Probabeel today.
-
Lol and hellova street which I had $200 to place just wins easy at $20 ffs
