I will be gobsmacked if they remain that high (or increase) I have just put my bet on now and I think he is worth a bet. Expecially at $5 a place.

I'm starting to get super excited about this which is ridiculous as Xtravagant is an exceptional horse, aong with a few others in a race and we have won a maiden and a rating 65 ha ha!
 
I have had a look at the times the competition have run at 1200 and Barnaby heads them all I think and his times are on a slow track where some of their win times have been on a good track. ( I rushed it a bit but I think I am right in saying that)

Yeah saw extravagant in there and even for a fairly uneducated punter like me, I know its a good horse.

I think that is good as Barnaby looks better at the track when the footing is firmer.

Spoke to a couple of trainers at Ellerslie and they said just get a filly near extravagant on the way to the barriers and he goes all stupid and colty. Same as his brother (He's Remarkable). In fact they used to put a barrier blanet with gelding poo and wees all over it to help mask any other smells. Didn't really work apparently

Hank Marvin running on Wednesday. Race will be for experience purposes only as its a bit short we think. Then he and Park Lane will be off to Hawkes Bay in two weeks. Galaxy Miss heading to Rotorua and then Trentham.

Just awful. Proof that you should never do three sprints in a row. He looked awful in parade ring too. Has dropped off in weight. He will spell now to ready himself for spring prep.

His galloping action looked a bit odd at times, and I thought he didn't have all the luck with space on the turn. They've gone a track record (apparently) and he wasn't a mile away so don't get too disheartened!

He throws a leg (whole family does Dom Dimingo, Pasta Post etc) needed to be freshened that's for sure. Into paddock now for Spring Racing. He's a good horse

Had a fair few bucks on Barnaby as odds so lucrative but still ended up about $60 up for the weekend thanks to the Storm, Cowboys, Blues and Eels. Like to bet on Sharks and Broncos too but since they were playing each other I didnt want a bar of it. Still apprehensive re putting $ on the blues. They were paying $1.35 at kickoff which isnt worth the risk but at 8 nil I think it got out to $1.65 which was a better return so jumped in then.

Hank Marvin is having his first start on Wednesday at Matamata. This is not a tip, just a heads-up. I expect it will be a bit too short but will be keen to see how he goes.
