Oh well Ricky Baker didn't far too well. Don't bet what you can't afford to lose lol. Had a good day go on some US races today so I've finished $120 ahead. But that'll do me.

Saturdays bias in sydney was pretty bad. Knew it was gonna be there with soft track and a tail wind down the straight but didnt think would be that bad. Didnt take Samadoubt but got most the others. Thought Te Akau Sharks run was pretty decent from back there and Star of the Seas too which ran 4th. Good horse to follow.
Had NZ horse of the year awards sunday night.....man yesterday was rough!

Every time that bastard runs, i bet on him. But he was shit in the Autumn, and i was convinced he was done. The market seemed to agree, and he jumped at $6, massive for him. So i stayed off.
Does what he always does, jumps to the front, the short favourite pulls up along side in the straight, and it looks like his last set of runs. But no, old mate winds back the years, finds another gear, runs off and wins.

Biggest race weekend of the year in Cairns, and i am many excite.
Starts with a loooong lunch tomorrow (that i always get carried away at). Ladies Day on Friday. Amateurs Cup Day on Saturday. There are a couple of other functions i skip because i lack the staying power.
Love it.
The favourite (i assume) for the Amateurs Cup on Saturday will be running for unprecedented prize money up here, because it's looking for the northern triple crown they came up with, where if you win the Townsville Cup, the Cairns Cup, and the Amateurs Cup you run for a bonus. Two legs down, one to go.
My horse looks like it will run a 1500m Class 1 on the Saturday. She's running for her career. Given form and that she has never run the distance she'll jump at a thousand dollars

Was just looking at the Tauranga card today....6 races oh which 5 are maidens and then the feature appears to be a BM65....wow
With about 4 horses in each race!
