2022 was a draft contract I believe
Re-signed for 2023 just the 1 year.
Now weighing up offers but likely to stay in Auckland.
Wouldn't surprise though if he ended up at Chiefs.

This article about Sullivan has a few interesting comments. Sounds like the coaching staff has done some good work
“I was battling some personal stuff off-field,” he said of his absence through the first three rounds. “It was good the coaches took away the pressure on the field and helped me off-field.” He declines to talk details, other than saying, “I had to fight through some adversity with myself, and it took stress away not having to worry about rugby too much, and being able to come in and build on myself off the field with our PD (professional development) people.”“I’ve worked on what the coaches wanted me to do. I’ve had some pats on the back but also sometimes I needed a kick up the bum. It’s about staying on top of the things I’m good at and continuing working on my game.” And the strapping fullback knows exactly where he needs to be better. “Confidence. When I’m confident, it’s being physical with the ball, using my footwork round players and getting my long limbs out there. I’ve also got to be solid defensively and keep working on my left boot. It’s a point of difference. I’m lucky to have it, but have to keep working on it.” -

with out knowing the full story so just presuming mental health issues i think we would be surpriced exacting how much issues there are in top level sport and the next levels down

So the NZH has reported that the Blues are interested in a Goodhue or Aumua to replace RTS. A TSFer has said they are also interested in TUJ
It's a good career move to try and build a combination with Ioane after he's committed to a long NZR/Blues contract
A question for Blues fans - if all of those guys were keen to move, which one would you prefer?

Is there a none of the above option?
I guess at a push Aumua, but as with TUJ I think both would struggle with their fitness. Hard pass for Goodhue, knees are shot.

@Tim yeah 2 injury prone players...if both fit, I think JG would be a better option to sit alongside RI though.

If you could guarantee he was fully recovered from injuries he'd be a no brainer, but as he is, can't justify it IMO.

No, but its different when someone is coming back with difficulty from a series of injuries.

@Kirwan tbf they are talking next year, not next week, so in theory, he could play the rest of the season, and then re-injure something in pre-season, there are no garantees in this sport.

If they do recruit a MF where does that leave Corey Evans ? for me I would be giving him game time at 12 next year,It seems a waste for him to be not playing.
