@gt12 I mean in short.. a guy like Josh Moorby was down south for 2-3 years and not once did he take the field in a landers jersey, yet a battler like Scott Gregory is given chance after chance
i feel its something we see a bit at all levels in NZ, "experience"...even if someone hasn't done very well...outweighs form or potential a lot of the time, if in doubt pick someone who been there before even if they lost...bit of an indictment we obviously feel the gaps between levels is too big
I think its one of the things that was really good with older versions of super rugby, there was such a range the top of the table games were not a million miles off test match footy when it came to intensity...and the bottom was probably worse than NPC, so you could bring in new tallent and they wouldn't be out of their depth

@Chris You would expect an announcement in the next few months. Wonder if it could be a Kiwi coach coming home. Is Chris Boyd with any franchise?
Chris Boyd I have not heard he has linked up with anyone as yet,He must be coming home to NZ with a coaching job lined up you would think.

Really looking forward to seeing this kid play more.
Cripes he was good for the NZ U20s.
There aren't many positions the Crusaders can get stronger in but Hotham, George Bell and Macca Springer are all going to improve the Crusaders. I think all three will be regular starters from 2024 onwards.

Hopefully Cashmore is next.

@Crazy-Horse chiefs must fight hard for him, he's already better than Trask, more upside long term than Gatland & Ioane

Yeah he looks pretty handy. Given the shortage of decent 10s I'd imagine he will be sort after.

I watched him live all 3 U20 games and he was outstanding. Great running/passing game but his coverage of the field was impressive. Never seemed to be out of place.
