Ta'avao
Hope he's available, he looked pretty rough on Friday.
TH prop options are thin if Ta'avao isn't available. I wonder if Tevita Mafileo is looked at. He can also play at LH.

When is this team named?

I don't think bolters happen in pro rugby. There are some players who haven't been talked about much though
Suafoa as a tight loose forward who can cover lock?
There's half a dozen good options at halfback. Funaki is someone MacDonald rates and he's had a strong season for Auckland.
Positions most likely to get surprising selections? Lock & midfield?

@Tim Huge scope for bolters in this team.
If JK hadn't leaked Levi Aumua's name, he'd be a massive bolter - and I'm still not convinced he'll be there. Stargazer was suggesting we're not supposed to pick MP players.
Hope they find space for Bailyn Sullivan.
Tom Christie might surprise.
I don't think they'll pick anyone who hasn't played Super, but if they did, Macca Springer is one of the few Mako who had a good season.

20 Sean Romans
Who?
Had to admit that I had to look him up as well. Was around long enough that he should be memorable...but isn't.

it would be very beneficial for the NPC as a comp for a couple of guys to have NPC form rewarded.

My guess at players who will definitely be in the squad:
Ross
Hodgman
Aumua
Eklund
Ta'avao
Tuipulotu
Dickson
Jacobson
DMac
Lam
TeleaI'm not very confident in picking this squad, to be honest.
I'm guessing the halfbacks will be Weber, Perenara, and Ratima. Might be a chance that one of Weber or Perenara miss out though.
-
@Tim I've got Weber locked in. I reckon he'll end up going to RWC.
I didn't pick Eklund in my squad, but he could easily be there.
That they'll pick most of the recent ABs is the best guideline we have, but there's not that many of them so I'm expecting quite a few surprises.

Isn't Jackson Pugh Australian?
