I only watched the 2nd half but that was a better effort. Good contributions from Rupert, Abercrombie and a cameo from Gliddon.
Cam Glidden was John Preston level clutch. 2 touches in the 4th quarter netted 6 points

The Wildcats “high powered offence - matador defence” finally caught up with them.
It would’ve been a real shame if the Snakes didn’t get in. They have been in the top 4 sides all year and Perth’s streaky play is just that.
The Breakers depth really came through today. Was an up and down game, but great to be able to run away with it. It’s a tough road trip to Tassie and I’d be nervous if we have to come back to Auckland in a must win game…

Breakers v Taipans finals y'all
-
beaten
Cooks was huge. Sydney defense got very fucking physical, and we just couldn't score enough in the 2nd half.
But i'm calling it, if we had Pinder and McCall we win that game.
-
@mariner4life I saw the HT score and thought that your lot might be in. I bet whiner Buford wasn't complaining about the physicality this time.

there was a lot of mouth from the blokes in purple.
Cooks is lucky he's the MVP or he was definitely staring down his 2nd tech and an ejection (fuck off @voodoo you know it's true)

Enjoyable game - Cooks doesn't belong in the NBL. Streaky shooting in the 1st half by the pimply kid kept Cairns in it, wasn't really as close as the scoreline looked...(ducks for cover)
plastic fans are the worst

but yeah, Cooks is seriously good. Plays good D, very physical, and his effort is huge (box out Cairns FFS!!!). Maybe his shooting keeps him from the NBA?
He, Cotton and Creek are definitely the 3 best players in the league, and by a margin. Cotton is too small to go any further though. I'm surprised Creek never made it back.

He'd need to bulk up a fair bit I guess - that 83kg physicality won't go very far in the NBA! Seriously, how can he be 83kgs at 6'8???
-
Who, Creek?no chance he is 83 kegs
wiki has him at 102 which looks more like it
oh you mean Cooks. Fuck you're right! No fucking way, that's lighter than me! That's for definite unders

Those are old weight stats for Cooks. He struggled to put weight on even as a 21-22yo. Not sure how much he is now, but he’s not 83 kegs.
I loved what Antonio did last night. Catch and shoot has been his thing for a while and he did just that. He missed all the shots that he took a dribble, so that’s the scout for the Kings for game 2. But he’s always been a shooter and played a few big games for Wake Forest a couple of years ago. Saw him hit 6 or 7 3s against Florida State and there was a game against Virginia that I recall him getting a few.

Klay-esq. Klay can put up 40 without dribbling once, and he’s bloody awful when he puts it on the floor.

me too
i have friggen hated what he's done most of the year though
it wasn't just shooting though, he played D (though he gets beaten by a quick first step, big work on) and was our top rebounder for a long time. Throw in 20 points and he had a day out.
DJ with a nice haul but on poor efficiency as the 3 deserted him. Problems were elsewhere

The home team has won every game in the SF series.
For the last couple of seasons I have lacked any interest with the Breakers stuck in Aust, so it is good to see a crowd at Spark Arena again. Stupid that we have to wait for a FIBA window before playing the final.

I wondered why there was such a delay!! That's a long break, all our players are fit and raring to go.
