QF Blues v Highlanders

as i say, im not defending the format and have said before we dont deserve to be playing finals footy but these have been the margins for our losses
10, 15, 6, 12, 7, 3, 1, 11, 12,1
no complete hidings, obviously you need to win those close games to deserve to play finals but its actually whats been so annoying...we havent been as far off the pace as we have been i other seasons, we would normally have had a couple of 20-40 point hidings
but rather than browny seeing what we did ok...he's just chopped and changed things...more than other years when we had been thrashed

Papalii obviously a loss for us but Choat is a quality back up at the same who will slot in nicely. A very underrated 7, similar to the Highlanders opensides funnily enough.

Nug out. Blues by 50+.
Paps out, Landers by a million
Fuck losing Dalton and Blackadder is not good for the ABs If Ioanes foot flares up our strength looks a bit bare.

Injuries come there will be more over the next 2 weeks. -
Jeez I hope the injuries to Smith and Dalts ain't too bad to affect thier selection in a few weeks.

TBH I'm not worried about not having Smith, we need to really blood more options and the ABs being forced to by injury might be the only way it happens. Three only thing is could see them being all conservative and mostly playing TJ in that case. Dalts should be first choice 7 going into RWC but that's really unlikely to happen now. I just hope cane can become crepid, he's the Manu of the ABs

Dalts is a bit injury prone aye. Hope he outgrows it.

if Smith is out, I have no doubt TJ will be starting or on the bench.

Stuff understands the 24-year-old, 12-test All Black went down with appendicitis within 48 hours of Saturday night’s Eden Park clash, and could face several weeks off the field as part of his recovery.
