QF Blues v Highlanders
-
@taniwharugby Plumtree who played at 7 and 8 in the preseason?
-
Hopefully he's been pulled as a precautionary measure, out of all Blues players he probably deserves to be relishing this playoff run the most. Hope he's back next week.
-
@Canes4life you'd hope so, would be a waste if he got injured properly against a Highlanders coming out with nothing to lose, not saying we'll be trying to hurt anyone but hopefully we come out firing just trying to get our noses in front and tails up
-
@taniwharugby Goodhue comes onto the bench
-
no doubt 8 finalists in a 12 team comp is silly...but i still want the boys to come out and try and win the next three games, have to play whats in front of you and its up to the other teams to prove 8 is too many
-
@Kiwiwomble they absolutely have a chance and I expect this to be a tough game.
-
@taniwharugby its 29% now and it would be 41% if we win the next three games
-
@Kiwiwomble OK...still, that's the nature of knock out footy...look how close France came to the 2011 RWC after losing to us and Tonga...
-
as i say, im not defending the format and have said before we dont deserve to be playing finals footy but these have been the margins for our losses
10, 15, 6, 12, 7, 3, 1, 11, 12,1
no complete hidings, obviously you need to win those close games to deserve to play finals but its actually whats been so annoying...we havent been as far off the pace as we have been i other seasons, we would normally have had a couple of 20-40 point hidings
but rather than browny seeing what we did ok...he's just chopped and changed things...more than other years when we had been thrashed
-
Papalii obviously a loss for us but Choat is a quality back up at the same who will slot in nicely. A very underrated 7, similar to the Highlanders opensides funnily enough.
