The entire Pacific Four Series will be broadcast live on Spark Sport, with delayed coverage of the Black Ferns v Wallaroos match on June 6 to be available free-to-air on Three and ThreeNow.
All six of the matches in the Pacific Four Series, between New Zealand, Australia, Canada and USA, will be shown on Spark Sport, as the team's gear up for Rugby World Cup 2021, played in 2022. -
The first game on day 1 of the Series between Canada and the USA has ended in a 36 - 5 win to Canada. I doesn't really surprise me, because last year already showed the USA being weaker than previously. Same as the men.
I didn't watch the game, because I decided not to go for a monthly Spark sub - for basically only 3 tests that I really want to watch - so I have no idea whether the score reflects the game and what the skill and strenght level of the teams was.

Full Canada v USA match. Geo-blocked in NZ, AUS etc, so you'll need a VPN if you watching from there.
Hopefully there will be a stream I can VPN for the ferns

All in all a successful tournament for the Black Ferns. You saw improvements, almost from half to half game played.Smith and co.'s impact on the way the team plays has been clear. Will it be enough to beat England and France, or is it too late?
Trouble is that we don’t have a fair idea of the gap. Last year’s tour was on the back of little to no preparation and a players there on old reputations.
No use taking them on with the same old style. Good to have a crack Smith style -

RWC's are knock out rugby, so upsets are always on the cards. But the way the USA scrum was all over ours points to an easy English victory if we play them. They are just so much better than every other team, especially their forwards.
-
@Machpants It was far from our best squad that played the USA though. I think for the strength of our forward pack, you should look at the reserves v Australia and starters v Canada. But, regardless, it will indeed be difficult v England.

I realise but England are so much better than any other team, it will be the biggest choke in RWC history if they don't win.

Finally got around to watching the Breakdown interview with Chelsea Semple. Was interesting to hear some of what she thought is so different with the new coaching and in doing so highlighted some of what was previously wrong.
There’s no feeling of places being anything but contested with the coaches actively turning over rocks and giving new players chances to show what they have. The older players are actually being pushed to be better to hold their places.
