Just saw the highlights of this game and man the Blues look slick despite the Rebels looking severely average.

Defenders beaten:
Clarke 9Classic performance of a guy with no power.
He dived over three of them to score - is that included?
-
@Stargazer red card in the first one, head contact surely, although mitigation of the guy being a fluffybunny...muppets

I dunno, RTS doesn't look a heck of a lot different to Havili for me, just without the wide passing. Probably a bit more solid on defence though.
Get what you're saying, but tend to think he's less likely to get knocked backwards.

Akira Ioane playing in a blinder for a dominant team. Who would have thunk it.
Maybe the team is dominant because certain players are having a blinder?

Caleb Clarke is not that great still. Def not starting AB level
Think we're watching different players.

I know it's dewy but it's the errors Clarke needs to tidy up.
Hopefully game time sorts it out
Think there was a rebel hand in that.

Really enjoyable game to watch.
Obviously the intensity dropped after half time, but nearing 50 that’s to be expected, and some of the subs affected things.
What I liked seeing is a poor side being put to the sword. Instead of an average performance putting something like 40 on them, they pushed on.
Reiko continues his form as the best centre in the country. Showed his attacking and distribution skill today after weeks of excellent defence.
Akira certainly isn’t playing like he’s been out for months. Accurate, huge work rate and just beasting people out there. That back row would look great for the All Blacks.
Perofeta was excellent, just needs a performance like this when things aren’t going well. Is looking like a much more mature player, that delayed pass for RIs try was class. Had me out of my seat.
Really seeing improvement game to game now. Great coaching group, great back office now, great playing group.
Much more enjoyable to be a Blues fan after a pretty poor period.

Hard to gauge based on the Rebels but was thinking the same thing about RI and the loosies. First, RI is heads and shoulders above any other No. 13 in the country (based on the whole season) but he is also the best No.11 in the world arguably... I suppose there isn't an argument because we have plenty of winger options but few midfield options for the ABs. That Blues loose trio is just dynamite. I'd like to see how it goes against better opposition this year but it look the dog's bollocks, doesn't it? For balance and combos alone, it would need to be considered for the ABs.

Oh, and the rebirth of Ofa is great to see. What TF happened?

Coaches apparently got stuck into the props and asked them to get fitter. As a result Ofa is taken his game to a new level.
He’s a massive human, and looks noticeably leaner this season. Ball skills and work rate are two big improvements from what I see.
His best game so far was against the Crusaders.
