@antipodean from the premiership side we have already lost caddy , Houli , lambert , astbury , and now Edwards , only Edwards played last night as sub from that group , the young guys that have come in this year are starting to look really good ,

Jack and cotch are the two who might have one year left max ,

Then there is dusty , who knows what’s happening there , while it will hurt to see him running around in other colours , he is getting on and it frees up a lot of money. From a footy perspective and taking the emotion out , looking ahead it isn’t as bad as it sounds losing him now to free up 1.3 million off the cap .

The rest of the premiership group have a lot of footy left in them still , and some of those guys that were the young players are looking more like leaders .

I’m feeling more positive than I did earlier in the year .

This game definitely a step up in defensive pressure compared with last nights. Still an enthralling contest.

    This is some game.

Swans up by a goal going into HT.

After HT the Dees kick 3 unanswered goals.

Then Swans kick the next 3 and now have al the momentum.

Swans up by 13 points and now Max Gawn nails one from 45m out.

3QT and Swans up by 2 goals.

Would be massive if they hold on at the G against the Dees.

    And doing it superbly.

A goal the difference at 3QT. Another classic coming up.

    I'm on the Dockers here

But I love Caleb Daniel. Midget. Wears headgear. Least AFL player ever. But gets heaps of it and is clean as a whistle.

He uses the ball so well and for a guy his size that works across half-back, he is very effective.

Good win by the Dockers. Being down 41 points and then winning by 2 goals. Now they travel to Melbourne to face the Pies at the G. If they can get their running game going they could challenge the Pies.

great weekend of games. All tight, all different, all in front of big loud crowds

    Now to the 2nd round

Melbourne hosting Brisbane at the 'G where they will be huge favourites.
Collingwood hosting the Dockers where you imagine there will be fuck all in it.

Then the big question, does the pre-finals bye hamper the major semi winners, as they only play once in a month?

We all said how open the finals were, and it's very much looking that way at the moment.

Sydney and Geelong both deserving winners and I'd be surprised if the flag winner isn't one of those two.

Brisbane were super gutsy, that was a great win. Same for Freo. Would love to see their runs continue.

this play, an inside 50 and the pure hustle to get back and smother it!

What a game. Brissy playing out of their skins.

Centre clearance game is going well. A crucial goal on the siren to level scores.

    Dare to believe @mariner4life

The crumbing by the Lions is far superior. Harder at the ball on the ground.
