I'd like to know more about Havelock North's winger Epeli Tanadroga. Obviously Fijian, but does anyone have more info? He's a prolific try scorer, but that's about all I know haha. I'm sorry if I've asked this before, or if anyone has posted about him before. Just can't remember.

@Stargazer Havelock had two Fijian wingers when they played my mob last week. They only had one listed on their playing sheet as a starter so not sure which one was which. One couldn't tackle to save himself and neither of them had much chance to stretch their legs apart from one occasion where one of them was put into a semi gap and did make quite a bit of ground without looking overly threatening. To call them typical Finian wingers that we have come to expect in NZ would not be an accurate description as both were about average palangi build and did not show the magical footwork nor power running generally associated with Fijian wingers. It could have been that they were just having an off day (Tech hade plenty of control up front and Havelock were always chasing the game) but there was not much that shouted "pick me" about them.

@Stargazer I will try and find out tomorrow. I don't think Mr. Farrell was even stripped last week so maybe he is still working his way back to full fitness. Against Havelock two weeks back he came off the bench about five minutes after halftime so maybe it is a managed return rather than a rushed one. Could also be giving young Maanaki Aranui experience and game time whilst he is still developing and learning his craft.
As for Cracker, he might be an option for NPC in an injury crisis but he has his own business now (and a young family?) so obviously his priorities in life are in another direction than they were when he was a bit younger.

Points to note from teamlists
NOB-M If Takiaki Fabish is number 18 then that team had better not claim golden oldies scrums should both props need replacing as they themselves seem to have named only one on the bench. Without having ever clapped eyes on him maybe one of the Penetito guys in the backs might also be suitably built to prop?
Appear to be rather cocky as well naming a match day team of just 21. Maybe there is a rule that if you name 22(23?) you must have two designated props on the teamsheet and with 21 you only have to have one reserve prop? There used to be something along those lines in Wellington Premier rugby a few years agoAltherm Tech Old Boys: Someone appears to have souvenired the 22 and 23 jersey or maybe it is simply a case of the 24 being a better fit for Mr. McIvor.
Kyle Cornelisen is missing, a player rapidly moving up the My Favourite Player ladderMAC: They have named a matchday lineup of 23 which is one more than the next highest number showing.
Taradale: Yet again no team published.

@Stargazer Played on the left wing. Did not really pay that much attention to the game as I was too busy pressing the flesh with Tamatea supporters and one of them who knew of him from his Pirates days sort of referred to him as Cruz but used another family name. Anyway he looked ok but think that might have been the first time I have really looked at him.
Tamatea were surprisingly competitive and although the scoreline would not indicate it they gave as good as they got. In fact their 21 points were probably the mosty my guys have conceded all season. They did have Keanu Kereru-Symes and Denon Robinson Bartlett startling and Lincoln McLutchie coming off the bench. KKS got binned for a high tackle, something a similar infringement from one of my guys did not receive. Tech again too powerful up front which meant there was never any real danger of defeat but you have to admire Tamatea for the spirit in which they played. And for @Nepia their Clubrooms are indeed back up and running after they were closed for a year or so maybe three years back, long may they prosper.
Both The Barracuda and Ash Dixon were on the sideline watching their fellow Texans annex the Nash Cup with a round to spare. This is my guys first win of that trophy since 2013. The party is in full swing, sadly without my participation! Oh and someone told me Hika Elliot was also amongst the spectators at the game. -

My cousins not going to be happy, he's just had a new born.
I think they may close up soon for good though as the hapu are looking at putting more papakainga housing in around there.

The Clive v Tamatea match will have huge ramifications.
If Clive win, Tamatea are relegated.
If Tamatea win, and Central lose to MAC then Central are relegated.
If Tamatea win, and Central beat MAC then Clive will be relegated. The above doesn't take into account the possibility of bonus points.
If Tamatea beat Clive it is possible for a five-way tie on 13 points between Tamatea (no bonus point), Aotea (lose to Hastings with no bonus point), Pirates (lose to Havelock with 1 bonus point), Central (lose to MAC with 2 bonus points) and Clive (lose to Tamatea with 2 bonus points).
If 3 or more teams finish on the same number of points the rankings are determined on points differential.
