another week, another gutless display by a club completely bereft of pride or identity
Nathan Brown is lost and absolutely has to go, now. Honestly, despite all the ready-made excuses, this club is in serious danger of burning what little level of support it once had. Posters on multiple forums are just giving up in droves.
That display on Saturday was disgraceful, but even worse, was the same shit as every other week. Manly are a poor side, who average 18 points a game, right up until they were presented with this Warriors "defense" who just don't care.
The recruitment is dogshit. The squad is dogshit. The coaching is non-existent. If something doesn't change this will end up our worst season ever.
And there are options FFS! There are a couple of young guys playing QCup who could come in straight away and absolutely do no worse than the current halves, but just might do better. Find some young forwards who actually have punch. STOP RECRUITING GUYS WHO ARE LIKE THE 18TH GUY ON THE LIST OF A MID-LEVEL CLUB AND EXPECTING THEM TO IMPROVE US FFS!!!!!
Make change, go young, have a direction. Give us something to fucking cheer for!!! Stop playing risk free dogshit football made to look worse by the fact we leak so many points we actually need to attack to stay in a game.
I hate you because i still fucking care about you. And you let me down over and over again. What are you? What is your identity? Figure that out and move from there. Because right now you are fucking nothing, and going nowhere.

@mariner4life it was one of the worst I’ve seen for a while. The Storm put more points on us mainly because we got beaten on that right side, but on the weekend our defence in the middle was as porous and ineffectual as I’ve seen.
-
also very concerning every week the post-match interview is a player calling out his team mates. They are fractured as anything.
It's going to cost us Walsh i reckon. And maybe our 2023 signings are having 2nd thoughts.

Sign of a good open, honest culture that promotes a winning mentality.

I am glad Walsh called out that display because no one else is and to make it worse the coach looks bereft of ideas.
I do know of two good Q Cup young forwards in our system but I dont think they are props and our engine room is the worst in the comp now AFB is injured and Lodge is gone. We need a couple of big hard straight runners, surely that is possible to find. Just so soft in our middle right now.
Some players did sign to play for Nathan Brown, which ones I don't know, I think we are now at the stage that keeping Brown is going to hurt the rest more. I think we are at the stage that, sacking him is a risk worth taking, as is sacking SJ. Walsh doesnt get any help from him anyway which is what he was meant to do and he has completely forgotten how to run. Plus the defence is not going to get worse without him there. It might be the only way to keep the young kid now interested.

@bayimports we are in desperate need for a change up. Doing what we have been doing, getting retread NRL coaches like Elliot, Kearney and Brown isn't working. The boys aren't responding and we don't seem to know how we want to play. I don't want to sound like a broken record, sign up the Walker brothers and see what they can do with our boys. Whether we win or lose, at least it should be more exciting to watch than the current shower of shit

There are not too many decent coaches that could change a culture regardless, but for me this would be one pair I would consider. But it would be a big change and need someone ready to take a risk. Is a guy who gets into fights with Matt Lodge, that type of person? I don't know.

I heard they just haven't had the right deal. I heard that they interviewed last time we were looking, only for Robinson to hand the job to Brown. Hopefully he has learned a lesson after that. We are desperate, we can't get much lower. Give them a few years if they want to come, they can't do any worse

check out this disgusting comment from the senile old drunk Rothfield
“I think technically and tactically Browny is as sharp as any coach in rugby league but being a coach of an NRL club is a lot more than that,” Rothfield said.
“It’s about managing players, managing salary caps, taking into account the culture issues that come with the Maori boys at the Warriors.
“In fact they’ve been away from home for so long and managing all that.
“I think Browny’s going to fight to keep that job"
First, lets stick up for Browny because he's mates with the media guys. Then the "Maori boys at the warriors" holy fuck dude, that's.. i mean... holy shit. That's fucked up on a number levels.

In the past decade the Storm have probably had as many Maori boys as the Warriors ... but we all know he meant PIs too.
-

-
well maybe gone earlier than we thought
