@Stargazer give Lindisfarne my best wishes but theyre in for a long day. Silverstream had last weekend off so should be fresh and seemingly healthy.

I would have liked to see Hamilton Boys take on AGS, because I haven't seen anything of Hamilton Boys' yet, this year.
I'll be at this game, and hopefully the weather doesn't affect the quality of the game.
Unlike many other schools, Hamilton BHS doesn't play many pre-season games. Unless there was an earlier game I wasn't aware of, this will only be their third game this season.

@KiwiMurph think they struggled last year too IIRC

@Bovidae has he been injured?
I think so. He plays 1st XI cricket too, so might have had a niggle.

Payton Spencer was playing at fullback for Hamilton BHS against Auckland Grammar, and was the equal best player in the game along with Hamilton BHS no.7 Oli Mathis. Spencer regularly injected himself into the backline to provide the final pass for his wingers, while scoring at least one try himself using his speed to take a gap and beat defenders. Mathis is very quick for an openside and skinned a number of AGS players to score a few tries himself. HBHS played behind a strong wind in the 1st half and led 31-0 at the break.
Hamilton BHS 55 - 0 Auckland Grammar School
@taniwharugby The starting AGS 1st 5 was replaced at HT, so not sure if your son's former teammate was 10 or 20.
As this scoreline and other games they have played so far suggest, AGS aren't very strong this year. I'm not sure if this was their best XV with 1A games either side of this midweek fixture.

@Bovidae no idea, didnt see a teamsheet.
His name is Monty Parkinson, usually a strong defensive player for a 10.
Both players were quite small. I haven't seen a AGS team list either. All I can tell you is that the starter had dark hair and the reserve was blonde-headed.
This link has some videos of the game.

St Bernard's 36 -10 Mana College -
Watched the two wellington games - St Pats vs NP Boys and Mana vs St Bernards.
Stream will rue missed chances, mistakes and poor play from the starting 1st 5. The 2nd 5 and lock for NP Boys were quite impressive and will go a long way to helping this team succeed. Streams front row and outside backs looked good. Once again, 10 for stream was woeful. At one stage attempted a chip 5m out from the opposition try line. When subs were made stream looked even better. Reserve halfback was solid and moving the 15 to 1st 5 paid dividends. Reserve prop was awesome.
Bernards were too clinical for a lackluster Mana. The 7 and 15 for Bernards were terrific in poor conditions. Manas tackled everything but otherwise the team played poorly. Really missing the 9, 10 and 15 they had last year

Traditional
Lindisfarne College 7 - 33 Hastings BHS
Central North Island
Round 4
Feilding HS 47 - 7 Rathkeale College
Miles Toyota Championship
Round 5
Marlborough BC 10 - 26 Nelson College
I watched the FAHS v Rathkeale game while working, so didn't watch individual players, but Feilding HS looked strong again. It was one-way traffic for most of the game, in awful conditions. The field gradually turned into a lake.
I've posted live-updates and some of my thoughts on the Lindisfarne v Hastings Boys game in the Hawkes Bay Schoolboy Rugby thread.

The St Thomas College v Christ’s College game that was initially scheduled for tomorrow, has been moved to this afternoon and will be played as the curtain raiser to the Crusaders v Reds QF at Orangetheory Stadium.
K/o 4.40pm and live on Sky Sport 1.
