The Indian keeper is calling his team mates Lovely Boys. Made me think of this
I saw Don Estelle (the little guy) singing and flogging his cds in a sh*tty little, run down shopping centre in SE London, in about 2000. Made me feel quite sad.
I think he died not long after that.
I loved that show. Wouldn't get on the telly these days

We have local umpires because the elite panel ones aren't travelling right now. These guys aren't umpire Rana level but they are getting close

I bet the seamers get nowhere near the new ball
If they take the new ball they risk the light meter
That is why

It's been an even test overall, the only thing separating the two sides is the coin toss which was a huge advantage to India.

And the umpires. How many decisions gone against us has the one guy had reversed? A lot

Agree, just as well there is an extra review per team to help make up for it.

This temporary return to home umpires has made me appreciate the elite panel a lot more.

It has still benefited India when they've given the 50/50 ones their way which end up as umpires call. Not shocking decisions but they've certainly erred on the side of giving the NZ batsmen out when India appeal, and giving the Indian batsmen not out, when it's close.

Surely they could have got that panel umpire from Sri Lanka?
