You mean the guy who just lead an underperforming NZ team to victory over SA with an excellently executed field position kick and then a pin perfect kick pass?

Yeah, wilted under pressure...

That's not what he meant and to be honest he may have a point. Baker can be a right dick sometimes. Hopefully he doesn't cost NZ dearly.

sure he can be a muppet (always has been - how long has he been in the 7s) but those 2 kicks were pure class.

So what's the solution drop him for the final?

Has he cost NZ a final before? He scored 3 tries in the quarter and set up the semi win - but sure dwell on his potential to lose a game

I agree he's prone to some distasteful histrionics at times but also proven to be one of the first players picked in the team. I'd rather trust in the team processes than slag him off on a hunch

I am not saying drop him. I am just saying he can be a dick. I think JAF was saying his sort of behaviour normally gets sorted in the NZ environment.

Back here in SA this ref (NZ vs SA game) has a bad reputation for missing things. I am just saying that Baker is a great player but must control discipline. Stick to basics and clean up the game. 7 vs 6 is hard to play. Only NZ plays 8 vs 7 at times. Lol.

Earlier this tournament (Kenya?) Baker got a penalty reversed for mouthing off at the ref and then got himself carded for continuing to mouth off.

Discipline is definitely a worry with him, but he's very talented and I'm sure he'll end up in the Rio squad.

Quite frankly i thought the ref was awful. Both ways.

Two of those penalties we got on d later on i thought should have gone to the bokke

Re Baker. I tend to think he's one of those niggly gits who never gets caught.
He's more likely to get someone else sent off for retaliation.

NZ and Fiji head to head are 44-40 to NZ

I think it'll be 44-41 after this. Fiji look powerful as, NZ will need to be bloody clever to win this

Saffas just had to kick the ball out when they got the intercept but they tried to score another try with time up and it almost cost them. Pretty stupid.

Final prediction: Fiji to win by 20. No way the ABs can compete with the best team in the series with only ten players the whole day and then that excruciating semi

5 - 0 after a magnificent side stepping solo try to Pita Aki. Kaka converts to make it 7 - 0
