It's a weird tournament.
If we win the toss vs the Afghans, we'll likely end up having had a good tournament. If we lose the toss - we're in the gun for a possible choke.
We've had a bit of a struggle to shake the Scots and Namibians off after losing those tosses.
If we make the semis and win the toss vs England, we're a decent chance to make the final. There's barely a game - SL vs WI is the only one, I think - where a competitive team has won batting first.

I think there’s that long standing nervousness about the Black Caps facing up against a bowler like Rashid Khan. Old habits die hard

Kane loses yet another toss but Afghanistan want to bat first. NZ would have batted too.
It’s a genuine road. I’m hopeful a few of our slower bowlers can make it a little more difficult for the Afghan batters.

I thought Kane was a bit greedy trying to sneak that second over in. Only served to delay Ish’s arrival at the bowling crease
