If you take the day night test out, with the different conditions and new ball, we have played 4 other tests against them, and they have batted 6 times.

Add them up, and they have 2,776 runs for only 39 wickets. That's an average of 71, and those runs were scored at 3.97 runs per over.

Wagner with a 5-for - where has he been all summer? -
Waggy sixfer

Wagner I think bowled to a very simple plan and it did very well. I would have said the short balls was a bad plan but they worked so I guess it was a good plan. If that is all Wagner has then I think he will struggle long term in the team. I think Wagner is a better bowler when there isn't much in the pitch.

Wagner with 6. That is such a typical Wagner performance. Bowling his fucking heart out for 30 odd overs. He is a brilliant 3rd seamer. I can't give the selectors any shit as I have backed the Bracewell selection, but in hindsight we have really missed his hussle with the old ball.

They'd be staring down the barrel of a much bigger deficit if he hadn't delivered. Great work from the Wag.

Goes without saying at least someone from the top four needs a really big score after some limp efforts, not only that but to get them at a reasonably decent clip too given we're right on half way in the match.
-

That was a pretty sweet delivery from Pattinson. Guptill forced to played at it because of the length and it held it's line and then a late deviation. Got a just reward.
-

Latham looking aggressive out there. Nice to see.
