@Canes4life Enjoy hahaha. Can't believe he almost got a contract with the Crusaders a few years back.

@Canes4life Think he's talking about Jono Hickey.
You might be close to the mark there Tim, but I have not had it completely verified from impeccable sources yet.

@African-Monkey he was hopeless in the pre season game against the Crusaders earleir this year. Knocked the ball on three times at the base of the scrum from my count and that was only 30 mins of play.
-
@Canes4life Did he get caught in posession from the base at all? That was usually a specialty of his as well.

Lock Liam Mitchell, fullback Chase Tiatia and utility Danny Toala have signed with the Hurricanes until 2021.
Bummer, I was hoping Toala would sign with the Chiefs.

Jed Holloway (Waratahs) suspended for 3 weeks for striking
The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee has accepted a guilty plea from Holloway for contravening Law 9.12: A player must not physically abuse anyone, after he was red carded. Holloway has been suspended from all forms of the game for three weeks, up to and including Saturday, May 18. The incident occurred in the 45th minute of the match played at Bankwest Stadium. The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee of Adam Casselden SC (chairperson), Stefan Terblanche and Eroni Clarke assessed the case. In his finding, Casselden ruled the following: “Having conducted a detailed review of all the available evidence, including all camera angles and additional evidence, including from the player and submissions from his legal representative, Aaron Lloyd, the Foul Play Review Committee upheld the red card under Law 9.12.” “With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of six weeks due to the World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play involving contact with the head must start at a mid-range level. “However, taking into account mitigating factors including the player’s clean judicial record, the player’s expressed remorse and the fact the player has pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity, the Foul Play Review Committee reduced the suspension to three weeks.” Holloway’s suspension rules him out of the Waratahs’ away matches against the Bulls (Saturday, May 4), Lions (Saturday, May 11) and Reds (Saturday, May 18).

@Stargazer Three weeks seems awfully lenient. I swear the judicial hearings must be massive piss ups.
