@kev plus a few that live in Auckland...1 of our better performers thus far too.
It’s not like we can afford to be missing anyone…or anyone good 😊

Hallam-Eames?

I'm almost glad we're level 2 so I've got a reason not to watch the slaughter live 😭
Living out of zone and watching it at home is no bettet. I take myself off into a room and only emerge once I have gotten over the game. It’s harder shouting at the TV by yourself I reckon.
It is.
At the game live, you sort of feel you can have some influence by shouting louder. And there's shared disappointment if you fail.
Stargazer probably posted somewhere already, but Fetuli Paea has a broken arm and out for 4-5 months.
Edit: He did!!!

so my guess for the side whenever it is named:
Tu'ungafasi, Olsen, Te Whata-Colley
Caird, Goodhue
Faukafa, MacNamara, Pryor (hopefully)
Nock, Reihana
Gregory, Hohaia (I expect...)
Macilai, Cooper, LeiluaBench
Wright, Li, Uluilakepa, Funaki (assuming he is fit) Moemoedonu, Grant, J Cooper, GoingI believe Hallam-Eames and Hyland are in Auckland, so unavailable.
Unsure on the status of Hawkins or Manu, Hawkins had served 1 week of his 3 week ban, while I havent seen anything of Manu's ban, that I expect would be 3 weeks too...I assume they will still have to serve thier bans, although technically, they have missed rounds 3-6, and while both hits deserving of a ban, given the way this seaosn has panned out, would seem incredibly rough on them to end up with a ban that would be about 6 weeks....appreciate everyone has missed a portion of the season too, but this is not a normal situation (or maybe it will be...)

Pretty strong team, though plenty of debutants on the bench.
I'm keeping a watch on Jack Grooby - he was pretty useful before he got injured a couple of years ago and I thought was good in his last outing. We are otherwise a bit light at halfback with Christie away with the ABs.
Similar situation at hooker, with Makalio still injured.
Nankivell coming back makes up a bit for the loss of Fetuli Paea.
I think Luca Inch has been in the NZ U20s, though I've not seen him. Not sure I've seen Max Hicks play, either.
Tom Marshall has been pretty good at fullback - an excellent pick-up to replace Havili.

Kronfeld talks to Big Red

A few interesting selections...had forgotten about Rush when I was musing earlier, I got the backs right, just 12/13 round wrong way.
Looking forward to seeing Mau'u get a run.
Wright signed as a hooker but pushing him back to prop, unsure if Tu'ungafasi is also stuck in Auckland?
Very raw loose trio; Rush who would be less than 10 games, a debutant and Moemoedonu didnt do very well in his debut, so only way is up!
All things considered, not a bad looking side, but huge ask against that Ta$man side, including the thug.
-
@taniwharugby The combined Nelson Bays/Marlborough outfit do not seem to have any trouble getting their players back from out of the Auckland region. You should get your officials to ask them how they managed it if you guys are having problems in getting yours back.
-
@higgins 3 probable starters stuck in Auckland, Tu'ungafasi, Hyland and Hallam-Eames
Apparently we tried...🤦
-
@taniwharugby
Add Manu Paea to that list . Also stuck in AucklandStill serving suspension
Isi Manu
Dan HawkinsBack in 2 weeks
Tamati Tua
Rene Ranger , staggering given he broke his arm his arm against Wellington on the 7th August ,currently siting on 99 x games.Brady Rush still having issues with his ankle .
-
@steven-harris in that clip I posted above with Robinson, he said he has started training with the team again, may not be worth risking him by having him play again this season.
-
@taniwharugby got to love Tom. Hope he gives himself time.
-
Looks a great day today, should get a great walk in crowd...oh right...
Semenoff Stadium looking 👌
Hope our play is as good as the ground!
-
@taniwharugby Semenoff Stadium?
You guys must have some sort of arrangement with Swiss Young Boys and their Wankdorf?
-
@chris-b will always be Okara Park, official name is Semenoff Stadium, Stan Semenoff, a rather polarising figure up here stumped up the $$$ for naming rights
While his sons business is teams major sponsor, and a record amount by all accounts
-
@taniwharugby I can vaguely remember Chippie (I think) Semenoff playing for, probably, North Auckland.
