There is a report on Stuff. Cane and McKenzie were late scratchings so BBBR was the captain on the day. The Chiefs have found their new 1st 5 - Ngatai. It sounds like a typical first-up effort but unfortunately more injuries to some loosies. Somehow they won.

The Sunwolves are at the moment playing their first ever game, a preseason game against a Top League XV side. Sunwolves lead 12-7 after 15 minutes.

Sunwolves playing a 'Japan top league 15' (only JP players) right now - leading 17 - 7 with about 15 minutes gone. Level is pretty bad, so it is difficult to draw too much from it..

The Jaguares played a preseason game against the Stormers last night. The Stormers won 29 -14.
It will be interesting how the Argies go in their first Super Rugby season. No doubt better than the Southern Kings and Sunwolves, but apart from that?
