Forward pass in the lead-up to that try?

Last pass was forward I reckon. Ruled out anyway due to Narx crawling.

Argies are so desperate to go wide rather than keep sucking in the Bok defenders.

A bit of variation wouldn’t go astray either

Which bonus point rule are they using in the RC? 4-tries bp or 3-tries-more-than-opponent bp?

Not sure what to make of this game in terms of strengths of teams. Argies looked quite rusty, esp in the first half.

10 changes to SA lineup but still 18 missed tackles….Butterfingers x 2 for Kwagga but Fassi Dweba and Ntshe all solid. Not as fizzy as I was expecting but ABvOZ this am was probably fizz overload 😉

It's funny how the commentators kept on talking about the bonus point and then conclude that the Springboks didn't earn the bonus point. Then they show the table on screen that clearly shows they did earn the bonus point.

By the way - and this is from the SANZAAR website - this table answers my own question. They're using the 3-tries-more-than-the-opponent bonus point rule.

Great bonus point win. Springbokke can build their depth next weekend. Our scrumming and defense structure is great. Bom squad again did their job well

@act-crusader 100%. What I don’t get is that the halfback has to go offside to go kick the ball to the back of the ruck. Penalize a few of the mouthy bastards for it and blow a few up for not using it and the travesty will be gone in no time.

Might even lower box kicks as you’ll see more charge downs and scrummies getting caught at the base of the ruck.

10 changes for the Bok’s and still a 20 point win,
Good depth in SA rugby by the looks of it.

Watching that match, Fiji would’ve probably beaten that Argies team.

    Agreed

Lots on here have a hard on for Argentina but they’re showing nothing at the moment

Struggled against Wales B and got hammered by SA B+

    Very predictable

Hopefully they’re just at the end of the previous WC cycle in terms of personnel and there’s new blood on the way

They have the cattle in 7s

I think the Argies are starting to suffer from no longer having the Jaguares in Super Rugby. When the Pumas were almost identical to the Jaguares, they played better.

Yeah. Surprised at the margin by Bok B. Thought that Argue side looked strong on paper.

I was actually post 12min in that I thought we were going to lose that game, but the post did not go through. Shows what I know...

Still worried about our attack - the pack were getting us on the front foot, but Reinach was slowing down good ball. I cam understand going back to the kicking game as the Pumas were really struggling in that aspect, but there were plenty of opportunities to use other tools, but we screwed it up.

Also discipline is becoming an issue whenever we were on defence we gave away unnecessary penalties. With tougher games coming up we need to give the refs a better picture.

Worried about the pumas, they looked completely toothless as soon as Reinach scored and had to chase the game.

@sidbarret not the first team to look toothless in that position against this bok team. Won’t be the last either.
