Awesome game! Loved when it went to extra time and all cameras were on Benny Hunt. The guy really didn't want the ball from the kick off.... :sarcastic:

Thankfully JT knocked it on and didn't score because it should have been a knock on (from Cowboys winger Felt) prior to that. Don't like the idea that you can tap the ball back onto your body and it doesn't count as a knock on.
-

How quick is james roberts?

got to be careful believing everything you read but heard through the media last year he had the quickest sprint times in nrl, afl and australian super rugby
-
Long way to go in the season, but I wouldn't be surprised if these two teams are back in the GF again this year.

From a Kiwis perspective, Alex Glenn and Blair had very strong games. Taumalolo after a quiet 1st half really turned it on in the 2nd. -

The Tits upset the Raiders in Canberra with a last minute controversial try, set up from FPN's cheap shot on a kick off return. The press conference starring Ricky Stuart will be a cracker to watch.

-
That Roosters game was a cracker. Mitch Orbison very unlucky I thought. What a spin move and pass.
-

They should let the frigging commentators make the decisions - that way nothing will ever be wrong!

It's a multi million dollar 'central command' centre in Sydney for video ref decisions where they have people viewing multiple screens and angles to make video ref decisions, rather than having a video ref at the ground. It is supposed to minimise errors and cut down on time to make decisions. They have a similar set up in American sports. Not a great weekend for the Bunker - with two errors in two close games.
-

Images are showing the Bunker got it completely wrong and cost Roosters the win by denying the try. Player was onside. It seems no matter the system (bunker, tmo etc) there are issues with video replay decisions.

yeah I just threw a few dollars at that....Have the Warriors as the final part of a Multi, so either way I make money on that game!
-

Elijah Taylor is on the outer at Penrith. Not named in the 17 to play St George. Rumours are he is trying to get a release to join Wests or Sydney City.

Vatuvei was forced off the field with a rib problem after 47 minutes of the second-round encounter with the Brisbane Broncos, side-lining him for last Sunday’s clash against the Melbourne Storm. He wasn’t chosen earlier this week but is now set for his first home appearance of the year and the 213th game of his career.
Luke was poised to make his home debut as a Vodafone Warrior against Melbourne only to be ruled out with a leg injury he picked up in the final field session the previous day, so handing 20-year-old rookie Jazz Tevaga an unexpected start.
Luke was also left out of the original side to play Newcastle but has been given the all-clear for his belated first home appearance, the 191st of his career.
While Vatuvei and Luke will add a combined total of more than 400 NRL appearances to the side tomorrow, the Vodafone Warriors have lost second rower Bodene Thompson. He picked up a rib complaint this week and was withdrawn from the side after today’s run.
Vodafone Warriors head coach Andrew McFadden said Thompson’s injury – like those to Vatuvei and Luke last week – is a short-term issue.
With Vatuvei and Luke in and Thompson out, McFadden will wait until an hour before kick-off tomorrow to confirm the final squad of 17 to take on Newcastle.

Warriors in first, for the first time this season I think.

Denied another one by a marginal decision in the bunker.

Then a couple of soft penalties and a line dropout later, let in an extremely soft try via a missed tackle.

I'd like to see some stats on it, but I reckon the warriors are right up there in penalties conceded.
