The Farah saga continues at Wests. Jason Taylor wants to move the club on from the 2005 era so has relegated Farah to NSW Cup while retiring Dene Halatau plays at dummyhalf for the remainder of the season. Thinks Tedesco & co play better without Robbie. Expect Farah to get his way (again).

The Tigers faithful on Facebook overwhelmingly appear to be behind Farah. So fuck them, let the club burn.
-
Great to see the Tigers currently proving Taylor right
-
Even Fitler came out and said Taylor should be able to coach as he calls it.
-

Fuck Farah is a tool. Did you see his interview after his NSWC game? Tries to make out he's keeping his mouth shut, but the whole thing was a crack at the coach. And a whinge that they are looking for an excuse to sack him. Just fuck off to another club. He was given the option of looking for another club, but no one could pay him what he wanted, so he stayed.

Taylor thinks this is the best way for the club to play, to put more responsibility on the halves and Tedesco, and to keep the playing group to the structure he wants. So he drops a player, and it all breaks out. Fuck i am glad they won yesterday, i will be backing them in every game this year now. I'm no Jason Taylor fan, but coach's get so much pressure applied, they should be allowed to coach their own way.

The club aren't helping though, jesus. Did you see their statement last week? Jason Taylor is free to coach the team how he sees fit. BUT he will be judged by results. It sounded very much like "if this doesn't work you're gone".

Few other points from the weekend.

The warriors are the worst golden point side since Brisbane in a GF.

Mark Gasnier may have very little on-screen personality, but he's actually a pretty good comments man at the desk. His explanation of why that Barb a try was correctly ruled "no try" yesterday was excellent, especially when he said the Dragons used to practice it exactly like that until the obstruction rule was changed. Flanagan can go fuck himself. I think he should have had a bigger whinge about the Holmes try that was ruled out for a double movement despite momentum.

Peter Wallace was an ordinary halfback who has transformed himself in to a very good hooker, he was brilliant on Friday as they tore the Broncos up. His wide pass from dummy half gives those young halves heaps of time and space.

I reckon this is now a 3 horse race for the title.
-

I haven't been paying enough attention to the competition this year - who are the three horses?
-

Melbourne, Cronulla, North Queensland.

-
Haha I must have missed that bit when I stepped away because I was about to post we look like a competent football side.
-
My god, how did they fuck that up? Luke sacked at dummy half on the last tackle, in front of the sticks on the 10m line.

Edit: Both markers were standing either side of the guy playing the ball... Luke didn't have a chance.
Where was the penalty? -

It fucking pisses me off how the refs put the whistle away for golden point. Cowards.

Come on you dumb fluffybunnies. How many chances?

In your face you offside fluffybunnies! -

I'm still jet-lagged as fuck, I don't need this fucking overtime we-can't-kick-droppies shit right now.

Some thoughts:

- I apologise to the Kata family. I was wrong. After ranking him below Laumape (gone), below Hurrell (fat and gone), even below Wright at one point, he has become the complete player that I thought Hurrell would become. Great attack (bowling Wallace out of the way), great defence by stripping the ball from an Origin player (greatest players of all ya know), he has worked on his errors and become a complete player. Good work.

- Warriors need to stop kicking drop goals and focus on the "let's pretend to have Shaun Johnson kick a drop goal but really just run the ball at the line" move. Seems to work better since Shaun Johnson can't kick drop goals.

- However the Warriors should have won on a penalty kick after two Penrith players were offside when Luke was attempting to pass the ball to SJ. The refs let the Panthers get away with so much in this game. Dodgy as fuck.

- But the Warriors need to put the foot on the throat once their nose is in front. Not doing that right now.

- Nathan Cleary looks just like his old man. Can't kick like him though. Will still be a stalwart at Penrith for the next decade.

- Lolohea had a so-so game in the rain. Fusitua is probably the safer hands but Tui needs to be out there. Maumalo or Vatuvei needs to make way for him.

- Lisone is becoming a smart, aggressive prop. Reminds me of Sam Rapira but with a bit more mongrel.

- Forgot that Jamie Soward had left Penrith for Superleague. Cartwright isn't a bad option at stand-off but he can't kick (unless it's to Kata).

- Still doubt the Warriors make the playoffs because they need the forwards to completely own the middle of the park if they want SJ to dominate.
