Crusaders 2022

oops didn't mean to reply to @nzzp so have posted again I think TTT will grow in the Crusaders environment it maybe the making of him IMO.
With Hall likely to go to Japan in 2023 there is room for game time coming for him.
Many players underated have gone in to the Crusaders and have grown as players to be much better than rated before the move. -

And here it is. The most underwhelming Crusaders signing in many years.
There is a serious merry-go-round of second tier 9’s in NZ.
Can’t think of any other position where there is so much movement between franchises. -

Many players underated have gone in to the Crusaders and have grown as players to be much better than rated before the move.TTT has only a one-year contract. Two possibilities. He'll need to prove himself big time in 2022 to get a contract extension or - more likely? - they have someone in mind to be signed from 2023, who now isn't quite ready yet (or is still under contract somewhere else for 2022).

A bit of both I think.TTT to prove himself and get resigned with Hall maybe going to Japan in 2023 that might create the gap for the young player coming through.
Razor did mention in the NZ herald article TTT maybe a long term prospect for them. -

Stop criticising the Crusaders! Everyone picks on them. It’s not fair.

@stargazer reckon that's an awesome signing for both parties

"The Blues don't poach posts" i'll laugh at them too
But that's the thing, isn't it. The majority of hate posts on the Fern over the years are directed at the Crusaders with the stupid accusations of being poachers. You never read about other franchises doing the same because the Fern is mostly a Blues wankfest, and to a lesser degree the Chiefs'.
I'm not apologising for being the type of guy who sticks up for people/organisations who are most hated on, falsely accused, made fun of etc. It's who I am (it's been part of the work I've done for years) and has nothing to do with being a supporter of a franchise I'm not even a supporter of. If you'd read my posts about the Canes, you'd know which franchise I'm most frustrated about (and therefore care most about, although I find it hard to call myself a fan). It's also made me the guy who sees the glass half full, where this whole forum is soaked in negativety, criticism etc. The Grumpy Old Men thread could be the name of almost everry thread on the Fern!
no, and don't ever stop, your relentless positivity is totally needed in here.
just don't take the shit people post so seriously. I think (hope) most of it is piss-taking (if it's not, some of you motherfuckers need to talk to someone. Get help).
I wouldn't call it a wankfest for any of it. Pretty much every single fan hates their franchise with a deep unbridled passion. THere are also Hurricanes fans. There are a few hard-core defenders for each, but in the main everyone hates Super rugby, hates the team they "support" and thinks they have shit players and shit coaches. So we take shots at others, the Crusaders is just easy. Fuck could you imagine the shit Auckland would have taken if the Fern existed in the late 80s-late 90s?? God the vitriol. Those fucking cheating poachers! Carrington stepped over the dead ball line the cheating fuck!!!
And the White Knights get relentlessly mocked, even @Kirwan who could ban us all for it. The Crusaders fans just need to accept that winning everything all the time doesn't make you liked.
it makes you fluffybunnies...
You're making good points mate. Can't be doing that on here.

No. Definiteily a bigger chiefs wank fest then Blues. It's just the guys that own the site are Blues, so try to bring us down to their level.

Not seen you much in the politics forum. You shouldn't give it a go. For your sanity.

Way too many Chiefs mods. Over half of them are Chiefs scum
Anyway, every side gets plenty of shit.
As for sides getting a disproportionate amount of chat on TSF? It would be a tie between Northland and Hawkes Bay. Which is fine. If fans of other sides want more chat about their team - post more about them.

Too right.
Some of you ungrateful fucks need to start thanking us for allowing the comp to benefit from the players we develop.
The Chiefs have been propped up by Retallick, Leinert-Brown and McKenzie (the good family members; not Calum, Daniel and Marty). Their poaching knows no bounds with Dom Bird, Tom Sanders, SBW, Nepo Laulala and Solomon Alaimalo other shining examples helping to form their patchwork quilt of a playing roster over the last decade.
We let one of our best up and coming coaches head north to try and make the Blues respectable and eventually get them to a faux championship, whilst also gifting them Sam Darry this year as a further boost. Hell, we even allowed and forgave DC a Blues dalliance recently. Not so much those Chemist Warehouse ads. Our generosity should be acknowledged.
The Hurricanes have benefitted from, well, umm, Reed Prinsep, but at 1.78m he's given their line out a significant boost now for a number of years. Oh and Mal Arnold. Or was it Derek Maisley.
Then I notice Highlanders fans never utter a peep when these threads turn into poaching debates. And nor should they given the encyclopaedia of Crusaders and just generally good Cantabs theyve picked up over the years to plug the seive-like holes in their annual roster scramble. Lately they've gone for a Stiflers' mom approach and pilfered the likes of Sam Gilbert and Will Tucker but they also like to have a veritable who's who of Cantab loose forwards in the mix with Harmon and Lentjes there now to replace Dixon and Manu. And let's not forget Sam Harding. Patrick Osborne, Colin Slade and Rob Thompson were lured south from the Crusaders environment to bolster backlines past and where would they have been without Chris King, Siate Tokolahi and DLB. But we still love you, Highlanders.

I mean your best fullback in recent memory was poached from the Highlanders, but say on.

The Chiefs have been propped up by RetallickLose use of the term develop. We took BBBR from obscurity and turned him into a world beater, meanwhile you poached the raw talent of Dom Bird and turned him into Big Bird.

Funny how when you search for Poaching in the National Library Archives, most of it is on the Crusaders, Christchurch, and Canterbury..
