Blues 2022

@Duluth What a ride! We're usually the laughing stock in years gone by and usually criticising everything (rightly) starting from the board and working our way down, but we've stuck at it and are now top of the tree after the regular season.
Whether we go all the way or not is another thing, but compared to the years and years of constant failure we've had, these days make it all worthwhile, and opposition fans are starting to hate us again, which means we're doing something right.

Yep, we’ve put ourselves in the best position for the knockouts. Home advantage, good squad depth, consistent selections.
Any AB fan knows that’s no guarantee of winning, but it’s night and day from last 15 years.

There can be huge differance in arm lengths
Chabal was a decent lock at 1.91 because his knuckles dragged on the ground
Tucker is moving bodies, winning lineouts, carrying well etc. If he does that against the Brumbies and then follows up in the knockouts he's a chance. His game is different than most our other lock options
Biggest fucken mitts I’ve ever seen on a Rugby player in the flesh. He woulda been a hell of a boxer with that reach……a teammate ( can’t remember who ) was quoted as saying he’s the only guy in the world who can scratch his ankles without bending over.
Wonderful singer too.

There were some casualties, particularly Caleb Clarke, who was in menacing form early on until he suffered a hamstring injury. Unfortunately Tanielu Tele’a suffered a season ending ACL injury. -

He was looking good while he was on, his direct style was perfect for the Brumbies defensive line.

@Daffy-Jaffy Man that sucks. That would cast more of a pall over the team than Clarkes injury. Tele'a is well liked by the boys. Quiet and humble trains hard and has scraped and clawed for every minute of playing time hes gotten having fallen well down the pecking order in the last couple of years.

So perhaps Goodhue will get a hitout this week
That would be great news for the playoffs - he was in excellent form, and would improve our set-piece play.

TAB has odds very tight for Waratahs game, so they must assume Blues will rest several players.

Do they have 'insiders' or just rely on rumour and speculation like us...surely not?

@Dice He has future AB captain written all over him.
100%
New captain 2024 (following the WC) sounds right, but will he start before then? I love me some Sam Cane, but Cane might not be quite McCawish enough to hold out Paps from a starting jersey.

@Daffy-Jaffy Got to see his son score twice and set up another.
