Otago 2021

yeah, think im more keen to see gilbert at 15 and Koroi as 22/23. with so little depth at 10 id like Koroi to specialise a little once he gets back
-
Yeah Uni had Gio and he's a beast at 12, I went to school with him. It'll be intriguing how he goes and what time he gets too. He can play 10 if needed and can goal kick. Miller isn't bad, his kicking is his strength. Only ran the OBHS 1st XV from 10 in year 13 but the Highlanders U20 he wasn't too bad. Taieri has been good with him, but yeah his experince at this level, maybe play against Manawatu or Counties

Paul Dwyer has just mentioned on ODT rugby chat that Thomas Umaga-Jensen might be out for the season. He said that he may have done his ACL on the weekend.
This kid just can't catch a break.
-
@southernmann fuck, poor bastard, was a real chance to build towards being the starting centre for the landers too
-
@southernmann Geez, again. Don't know what those U-J boys are made of, but it doesn't have "luck" as an ingredient.
-
@southernmann damn, yeah hopefully it's not too long. Or hope he can play come the end of the comp
-
some weird selections
-
@macmanus did you mean to put that in the match thread?

seems lucky to get off, found in car, in gear and having "crashed" into a parking meter but managed to convince them he was not intending to drive. I was always if you're in the drivers seat with the engine running then you will be,may be considered as driving
-
Thatβs not good news!
-
@stargazer ouch, i only saw the 3 minute highlights, was it that bad?
-
@kiwiwomble Yeah, it was the most deserved red card I've seen for a while! Standard punishment, too (50% reduction).
-
thats good news, very happy to hear that, would love to see him put a little pressure on the AB 10's after a couple of good domestic seasons
-
@kiwiwomble said in Otago 2021:
@bovidae might depend on how well he goes, i hope he hasn't given up on the AB's, might be planning on a more long term decision at the end of next year
I'm guessing that was all part of the motivational plan by his new employers. As in that they will give him every support and opportunity to reboot his career and the rest is up to him. Obviously they would be gambling slightly that he would repay their faith.
