    From the NZH

Blindside flanker Tom Robinson was forced out of the match early after taking a knock to the head, and subsequently failed his head injury assessment, while openside flanker Dalton Papalii sustained a hip injury which forced him from the field during the game as well.

    ----

"Tom's sore, Dalton's sore... we've got a few sore bodies. Tom took a head knock, and we'll be sweating on a few guys this week. I think the backs have come through pretty unscathed, but the forwards have been doing some hard work, and it's pretty physical so it's no surprise that they're sore."

Dalton has been great at 7 and will be a massive blow if ruled out. He's even been playing well when others in the trio have gone missing. I always thought he'd make a better 6 but he's really worked on getting rid of his concrete feet and seems a bit more agile this year. May just be due to getting a good amount of minutes in the one position.

Blues should really win this. So many ABS, or potential ABS and playing at home. While it would be nice to see the Highlanders get up, I would be concerned if they did.

@crazy-horse can’t argue with anything there except maybe the last bit

Anything can happen in a final, I don’t think it would be too concerning

@kiwiwomble yeah anything can happen, but there are quite a few Blues players putting their hand up for long term AB selection. I know the Blues have their weaknesses, but surely it would raise eyebrows if they don't get up.

Blues just emailed and the tickets to teh final are free for members. Well played.

I'm going to assemble a posse anyway - 18 long years, we'll take a group, preload and exert our white middle class influence on the place 🙂

I’m grabbing everyone from work that I can put the hard word on, and we’ll quadruple the number of drinkers in the Sports Club from 7 onwards - the old(er) buggers normally start and finish early!

assume it will be a 1905 start?

I do prefer the slightly earlier start times than 1935, although begs the question, why 1935/1905 instead of 1930/1900?

@taniwharugby Never been that keen on anything 1905 or 1935 as those two figures are synonymous with AB defeats handed out by Wales. However a TMO appeal would almost certainty be successful in seeing the 1905 one overturned.

I assume some markets take the game live but not the buildup. So that gives them 5mins to say the team lists etc before kickoff

TV broadcasters probably dictate the kickoff times. 7:45 pm was the KO time in Aust. Tests there start at 8 pm.

@duluth Hmmm I think we should look at carrying an extra 7 tbh, with Robinson covering lock (assuming that he's good to play).

So who will be playing their last games for the Blues n Landers?? That always adds to the drama/emotion especially when its a Grand Final - players looking for the fairytale finish !

I've mentioned on another thread that I want a 6/2 split so we can carry that openside.

In the weekend when Papali'i went off the Blues had a backrow of: 6 Goodhue, 7 Ioane, 8 Sotutu
