    I'd say Liverpool need to win at Etihad to have a chance, something they haven't managed for a while.

    Not since November 2015, although they have had one Champions League win at the Etihad since - and a couple of good old fashioned hidings.

    @hooroo Palace are City's kryptonite. Beat them at the Etihad which was also the last time City failed to score. so four points from six this season 2 goals to nil

    Very tough game for LFC on Wednesday. Aresenal in their best form of the season and Salah is a doubt.

    Will be a cracking match

    @dagrubster

    Will be a really good acid test for both sides - if Arsenal can be competitive and stand up to Liverpool that will bode very well for the run home and their Champions League chances. On the other hand, Liverpool can really build momentum by both closing the gap to a single point and doing it against one of the real in form sides.

    This feels like a critical champions league qualification run for both Spurs and Arsenal. Both will be counting on a strong summer transfer window to bolster/refresh their squads. That will be a lot easier with champions league as a carrot. If Arsenal win against Liverpool that will be a big step towards finishing top 4 for Arsenal.

    @cyclops I don't think Spurs will make it. It will be a pleasant surprise for me if they do. But I don't think the squad is good enough

    If Arsenal don't make it they will have choked Clear in 4th with three games in hand on the chasers. None of whom are in compelling form
    After Liverpool they have
    Villa A
    Palace A
    Brighton H
    Saints A
    Chelsea A
    ManU H
    West Ham A
    Leeds H
    Newcastle A

    @cyclops

    It will be a very tough match for us (LFC) as Arsenal are in their best form in some time and we need to win to take advantage of City’s draw.

    Salah is fit apparently.

    Something tells me a draw is likely 🤬

    Pretty sure that Arsenal will get top 4 now regardless of the result tonight

    Been raining in London for the most of the day. Still raining now.

    @mariner4life And a great result down in Brighton for their nearest rival with Tottenham Hotspur FC tonking Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 to move within three points of the Gunners for the 4th Champions League position. Next up for the chop from Spurs is West Ham United with fingers crossed Aston Villa can make it a forgettable couple of days for Arsenal.

    @higgins 🙂 The Cottage is consistently (well I've seen it twice which is one more than necessary for me) voted one of the best football grounds in the World!!

    Should be even better next season in the EPL when the new Riverside stand opens complete with swimming pool on the roof! Plus a concourse that will allow the public to walk all the way from Putney to Hammersmith Bridges and it's own (new) pier for river taxi's.

    It'll be equally as good the following year when we are back in the Championship 😞

    Two listed buildings - the oldest professional club in London. What's not to like?

    There aren't many grounds with character left with the out of town functional industrial estate monstrosities.

    I was always fond of Luton's ground where the entrance looks like you're wandering tthrough someone's front door

    @kiwipie I have drunk in all four of those pubs. Shame about the flyover basically going over the ground though.

    Back to the UCL, 3 teams from England, 3 from Spain, 1 from Germany and 1 from Portugal. Draw will be critical and the 3 English teams, Bayern and Real Madrid will be keen to get one of the other 3.

    @kiwipie Despite their domestic form I don't think anyone will relish drawing Atletico. Certainly not Liverpool.

    they don't really have the class to go all the way but Simeone is a master at setting them up for knock out football.

    Bottom of the EPL fascinating this year.

    Newcastle been on a great run under Howe until coming unstuck at Chelsea (to one of the best touches you’ll ever see from Havertz). Then losing again 4 days later to 10 man Everton. Shouldn’t have as NC on top and Wood should have been on the score sheet. Not sure about Woods effectiveness honestly which is a shame.

    On the flip side the Everton win meant so much, Lampard broke his hand!
